Those three letters will be chiseled on my grave at this rateI see what you did there......
We sell them a player to hinder themAn unusual move, but I don't agree with the promotion bit or the drastic bit.
I really like Bogle. But nobody's going to say it would improve Leeds defensively are they. So maybe that would hinder them overall.
Availability wise - he appeared in 34/38 league games last season, but before that had two seasons in Championship of 20 appearances and 18 appearances. Not great in 46 game seasons. Although admittedly we had Furious George first choice some of that time - there were plenty of injuries though.
The bottom line here will be financial thinking, if it's true.
Perhaps, but when you take into account that he doesn't want to sign a new deal, then we have to replace him next summer at the latest anyway. At least if we do a deal now we will get a transfer fee for him, instead of him walking for nowt. It’s a bit ‘robbing Peter to pay Paul’ to sell bogle when you then just have to then replace him. Which presumably won’t be cheap.
What if you replace him with an actual competent right back that suits our team? It’s a bit ‘robbing Peter to pay Paul’ to sell bogle when you then just have to then replace him. Which presumably won’t be cheap.
You put the new player on a 3/4/5 year contract though. So don't lose money. It’s a bit ‘robbing Peter to pay Paul’ to sell bogle when you then just have to then replace him. Which presumably won’t be cheap.
Drastically worse ? I don’t think so.If we sell him to Leeds we may as well just admit we aren’t getting promoted.
Making a promotion candidate stronger while drastically making ourselves worse is just ridiculous.
Totally agree with this. Exactly my views.I feel a little indifferent about this one. Bogle when fit is a good player but it's his frequent injuries that are an issue. If he's not willing to sign a new contract and we can get 5-7m for him then it makes sense. I'd prefer him to stay but it's not worth letting a young asset walk for free at the end of the season

Because I don’t want to sell a player to LeedsCan someone NSFW the thread? There's a massive fanny in it.
Srsly, I like Bogle and I'll be disappointed to see him go, but it means very little in the bigger picture.
Because I don’t want to sell a player to Leeds![]()
The laughing emoji makes it look like you don't really hate to tell anyone thatHate to tell you this but there’s absolutely no chance we’re getting promoted![]()
Hopefully not anyway, mid table will be an achievement.
Boxing undercards really are struggling atm aren't theyDanny Hall v SportsPeteO.
It’s laughable people think we’re in with a chance of promotion. The laughing emoji makes it look like you don't really hate to tell anyone that
Looks like you think it's funny in fact
And don't understand what that saying means
You think that's funny ?It’s laughable people think we’re in with a chance of promotion.
Yes because there’s zero chance of it happeningYou think that's funny ?
You think it's funny the club you support can't get promoted ?Yes because there’s zero chance of it happening
Yes after the season we’ve just had why anyone would want to get promoted is beyond meYou think it's funny the club you support can't get promoted ?
So what's funny about it then ?Yes after the season we’ve just had why anyone would want to get promoted is beyond me
We are losing the best right back in the league. No, because you literally said "we may as well just admit we aren’t getting promoted" in response to selling our right back who is in the last year of his contract.

Cannot say that on here. Some think it makes Leeds weakerBogle is an underrated player by a lot of United fans. Last season, while somewhat patchy in form, he was one of the few players to show quality on the ball and attacking instinct. Accusations of being injury prone don't quite ring true - he had one major impact injury, followed by a teething period where the metal in his knee was causing problems. Since resolving that, he has shown good availability. Whether the injury or metal plate will cause a major problem down the line, we can't know until it happens.
I said it might be detrimental to Leeds defence. Are you suggesting he'd improve their defensive numbers?Cannot say that on here. Some think it makes Leeds weaker![]()
He wasn't even the best RB at the club till Baldock left.We are losing the best right back in the league.
But don’t see that as an issue when selling him to the side we are competing against.
Glad you posted that. People talk on here like bogle wanting out is fact“Bogle is understood to be settled and happy at United but talk of a move will probably be of interest to those who are representing him” - Danny Hall v SportsPeteO.

Except if its his own agentI expect the agent wants a tidy fee on a new deal if he does want to stay.
Although as we know with Wilder he wouldn't piss on an agent even if they were on fire. If there is another plus point to Wilder being in charge, he isn't prepared to let a players agent rinse the club.
