Had a very bright spell at Everton a few years ago - under Ancellotti, on the brink of a England squad?

Been on a downward trajectory since, partly circumstance. Maybe quite a similar situation to Tom Davies.

Like any player needs consistent game time, which he hasn’t had in a while. Can he get his career back on track with us? Hopefully, but probably not.

However smacks of Jack Rodwell, Ravel Morrison, Oli Burke, Lys Mousset, Callum Robinson, Reda Khadra, Robin Olsen, Adlene Gourdioura, Kean Bryan, Rhian Brewster, Luke Thomas, Ismailia Coulibaly etc etc A rancid collection of misfits, useless pricks and perennially injured.

In 12 months time, feel free to add alongside Grbic, Slimane, Larouci, Traore and probably a few others to that list of despicable recruitment.

Anyway I digress, GLTTL…

So your plan was … don’t loan anyone now, but stick the money somewhere and try to loan someone “young and upcoming” next season? That’s the plan?

The main outcome of this signing will be Wilder retains his reputation for terrible recruitment. Why bother with someone who brings absolutely no improvement on what we already have. He’s possibly worse than what we have.

I got a bit hyperbolic towards the end of the post and Grbic was probably the baby in with the bath water!! Hope he does well and would be gladly be proven wrong.

Just don’t see him as our number one beyond the end of next season. Based on a hunch more than his less than outstanding start in red and white.

How can you look crap, and sit on the bench Rodley in the same sentence. I understand the reservations and accept them, however I've not seen him in our colours yet. Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves. 5 games in we can judge. That's all I ask
 
OH fuck me another loan what a waste of money and for what? We are going down anyway should have saved our cash and got in a permanent signing in for next season even if we waited until the summer.
This owner and board of directors must have got shit for brains, I thought Meeester Chansiri was fucking stupid then you see our lot can always take stupidity a stage further.
I don't know if the lad is any good or not to be honest I know nothing about him but I do know one thing he won't save us from relegation and the move has taken a wad of our cash that could be used next season. To be right it is looking like we will need every penny we can get in the summer as the majority of the squad can walk away on free transfers, what a fucking shambles we are.
 
Will he improve our defence..I very much doubt it..in terms of goals conceded I don't see it getting any better.
 
When was the last time we signed a player playing first team football?

Exactly that. Instead of putting it on a dead rubber this season use it towards next season, a fresh new season where we have a chance of success.

Completely agree, from what a Everton supporting mate (Facebook met him one holiday) he says dyche doesn't like his centre halves to have the ability to pass a ball, really likes this lad and hope's wilder can him back firing

The recruitment team aren't as bad as the social media team.

You might argue that going down disgraced with 15 points is no different to going down with 30 points.

I think there’s an emotional price to pay for losing every single week, and trying to start again from there. Going down with a fight is worth something.

It’s not remotely realistic to make signings that will convince people we’re staying up. But I don’t personally think there’s a case for doing nothing.

which of our loan signings are staying with us?

where have I ever suggested using the three aforementioned in midfield and for that matter we have not signed any midfield players
 
Why can't we sign some big fucking 19 year old from League One/Two who may (with the right coaching) turn into an asset???

Seems we're constantly stuck in a loop of experienced failures looking to redeem themselves or overseas long shots looking to prove themselves...
