Any idea on other targets should he go elsewhere?Akpom today turned down another new deal at Boro. Ajax, Lens, Bayer Leverkusen, Brentford, palace and Blades all want to sign him. We had a package agreed in principle but it’s now been scrapped due to the amount of interest with Lens bidding what was agreed with us last week to the penny. Boro now want a bidding war for him which I think will be in our favour but our budget has to stretch for 3 more incomings and we don’t foresee anymore major outgoings. Player ideally wants to stay in England and play in the premier league and we are the only English team to formally make an approach.
Yes we were but it was only accepted in principle which is quite smart really, boro backed outWe've got no chance against that lot! Makes sense for £8m but above that i have serious doubts
Also if Boro accepted our initial package, where we not in negotiations with Akpom?
Jack Clarke has been mentioned a few times as has jack Harrison at Leeds. Hecky is desperate for akpom though for some reasonAny idea on other targets should he go elsewhere?
I was open to see how he'd do here, but I don't like it if it turns into a bidding war. Probably time to look elsewhere.Akpom today turned down another new deal at Boro. Perm Clarke loan Harrison?Jack Clarke has been mentioned a few times as has jack Harrison at Leeds. Hecky is desperate for akpom though for some reason
Exactly that. Leeds don’t want to sell him but loan him with the option in case they don’t go up.Perm Clarke loan Harrison?

For akpom? 100%. It will depend on how high the other clubs are willing to go.Thanks for the update
Are we planning a revised bid?
Our favour because he wants to stay in England and we are the only English bidders … so far.How does having a deal accepted in principle, go in our favour if middlesboro turn down in favour of a bidding war?
I wouldn’t worry too much he will cost a bomb and the club don’t want to sell him if they can help it.

But will cost us x million more? Our favour because he wants to stay in England and we are the only English bidders … so far.
Nothing at all.Anything about the midfielders mentioned Hamer and Smallbone?
Last year's article, but found this funny. The 22 stages of a Transfer saga. 'Mulling over a Bid' is stage 7, 'Preparing a Bid' is stage 8. Where does 'Readying a Bid' sit?Eyeing
