Yeah sorry I mean like forward/strikers not attacking midfielders I’d expect one off the premier league loans to be a more attacking midfielder. I’ve said all along 2 permanents unless anything changes i.e players sold.

3 perm transfer in like 4 years is no way to run a team. We are leaving nothing for the future while spending massive money on loan fees. Pointless business model imo

It would be very concerning it would mean if we were relegated and not taken over the kids would make up the majority of the team and as it stands the two kids that are furthest along (Jebbo and Osula) are out of contract in the summer

I struggle to believe that we won't make ONE more permanent signing this window. We've got the money, not loads but we have the money to spend. Signings so far have been to future proof.

Loans are centred around immediate impacts to stay in the Premier League. Norwich model was all about the former.

If we are making loans the main part of the budget we obviously want to gamble to stay in the league. Therfore that surely opens us up to a further permanent gamble if there is a player we need / want / can't refuse later in the window ?

Akpom and his fellow attackers looked fantastic at the lane and other than the first 15 minutes they absolutely ran us ragged. Akpom had it all that night and is the kind of player that stand out in our side and with him in the final year of his contract wouldn't be that expensive. An upgrade on McB for sure.

He's a totally different player to McBurnie. Akpom likes to play off someone, so who actually plays upfront?

I just don’t understand how we’ve got 100m for promotion and we’re acting like a bottom half champ club.

You mean the model that helped get us promoted to the PL ?

All that’s happened is we are left with a worse squad than last years promotion team

The entire squad a year older (Norwood / Egan / baldock) or a year close to being a free agent).

Norwood, Ndaiye, mcburnie, bogle, Egan, baldock, jebbo, osula, coulibally, RND, Lowe, fleck, Osborn are ALL out of contract after this year.

We’ve basically Anel and Robinson under control after this year. (Oh and slimani and traore if he ever gets clearance)

In no way is it a sustainable way to run a club.

We have loan options if we exercise those like we did last season we will be fine

So we negotiate on contracts the Dozy takeover fiasco didnt help thats why contracts were not offered
We dont know if negotiations are taking place

If we hadnt got promoted with this model then we would have been well and truly fucked
I would be interested to hear what your solution is to run our club
What model should we use ? The Wilder PL model ?

I’m not denying the model worked as clearly we got where we needed to be. I just don’t see that it’s sustainable- we should be getting and developing players for us not other sides

And I’m just saying in the world where loan fees are genuinely multiple million. Everton want a one million fee £1m for that cannon fella for example. We’d be playing £2/3/4m to loan some PL talent.

Surely that would have been better spent on an actual asset like for example Andresson / Chong or Giles or someone for similar prices to the business Luton have done. They would all be long term investments.

No other attacker unless Ndiaye goes but I know one of the players we are interested in if he leaves. He’s a decent enough player but I’m not sure if our fans will be overly excited by it. I thought we would have brought in this lcb in by now as the deals been agreed for well over a week but we seem to be the slowest club ever at getting deals over the line. People won’t have heard of him oversees player again.

Everything transfer takes time because every transfer is done ‘in house’ and we don’t use external agencies and solicitors etc; to aid so literally can only do one at a time.

All starting to feel a bit wilder second PL season

Slow business barely any signings that we are expecting to be be starters here for preseason. ( I actually think none of the signings so far are pencilled in to start.)

Injuries all ready piling up.
You must read ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’ by Frank & Silent , it changed my life

But the Prince and his hatchet man Giransyracua said we are a development club

Is there a confirmed genuine interest or bid in from United for this guy?
