I could well be wrong. But I fear for English football if that style becomes the benchmark for clubs. Effective yes, attractive no.
I understand what you are saying, but I think they were just cruising- if they wanted to they can crank that machine up and are devastating and entertaining too. Technically and tactically they are on another level. Was astonished how they broke the press by always having an outlet pass, often one that just seemed impossible.
That said, I didn’t realise just how good a chance that Iliman miss was!

Having McAtee and Doyle back as fresh legs in midfield will get us over the line

There isn't a Blades fan alive that wouldn't have taken that result before kick off, anyone who says different is lying or deluded.
I'm in the delusional camp that involved a surprise Blades goal in first five minutes and then park not only the bus, but the entirety of Pond Street station for the remainder of the game 🤣

Why is it. An FA cup win you'd remember forever, a promotion less so. Don't get me wrong a promotion will be amazing, but the joy of winning a big trophy would top that for me.

Appreciate not many people would agree, but not sure it's a stupid comment.
I totally agree. Would much rather win the FA Cup than promotion. Promotions come and go, I've seen plenty but the FA Cup is for keeps. The enjoyment of winning a one off game with your mates beside you surely trumps promotion which could be achieved on a Tuesday night without even playing while your sat at home on the sofa.

Unfortunately, the penalty and Mahrez performing his own version of the parting of the Red Sea with the help of Moses Robinson, allowed them to cruise as an option. Once it was 3-0, in a way, I was relived they performed their low-key substitutions and lost their own impetus a bit. It could have been much worse if they'd kept the same 11 out there and even that wasn't quite their 1st XI!

Nothing daft Blades. A sending off would be a potential disaster at this stage. Get down to BDTBL boys and girls - this could be it!

Preparing the final slices of humble pie and custard from Hecky & Co for my due consumption on Wednesday night. This is now a regular post-match routine. :)

It's good that WBA & Preston come to the Lane needing wins, as that may work in our favour, rather than struggling for a 1-0 against a Park the Bus outfit.

Loved Berge's explanation of the 'Avoid the End-to-End Chaos' rule that is Heckinbottom's approach.

It took a Norwegian to explain to me the football philosophy of our Tyke boss!

Let's put it into perspective...

So, implicitly, we could currently play out a 0-0 draw with Bayern!

Well done Hecky & Co. Now let's focus on a pre-season tour in Munich to test the theory out 🍻 ;) 🍻

What's the end to end chaos?

They are no mugs, but this is a game I am confident that we will win to secure promotion. The squad are going to be so up for this and expect them to come out and stun and over run West Brom - however, we all know that we need to capitalise on that and score 1 or 2 first because we simplt don't sustain pressure for entire games.

McAtee and Doyle back will be a massive boost for us.

Not very often I do this but I'm going 3-0 Blades. Ndiate, McAtee and Berge.

Lump on 🤣

Going to be a tough one. If West Brom win then they could move into a play-offs spot. They have the players to beat anyone on their day so dangerous.

Draw not the worst result here.

I'd go:

----------------------------Wes
-------Baldock---Anel---Egan---Robbo---Lowe
------------------------Berge--Doyle
----------------Ndiaye---------------McAtee
--------------------------McBurnie

Subs:

Davies, Basham, Bogle, Norwood, Brooks, Sharp, Jebbo

So 3 points needed if we are to be promoted on Wednesday. Albion also need 3 points. Anything less is shit-ville for them.

Perfect. Can’t wait. Hope they sell out and we both give it a right good go, fans and players. Proper advert for the championship, unlike that absolute shite we all watched tonight.

Tickets selling well.

I just did a quick tally.

152 left.

watched Albion lose at home to Sunderland .theyll have to play a lot better to trouble us
if we cant get up for this one be a bit weird, I think Hecky just has to say who wants to triple your wages and its a treble win bonus for tonight

watch em run for 95 minutes

They don’t seem to be able to keep the game tight against intelligent attack, so I expect a really attacking open encounter. I see that’s their only way to get something. Should be a cracking game if that happens.
