That’s the team. Only thing that could change is Coulibaly for a striker like Osula but very unlikely

Update - Doyle back in training according to the examiner so presume he comes in for Coulibaly.
After seeing him seemingly eager to impress with his appearance against out knee (apparent) rivals Wrexham I really really really want to see him in an actually competitive league match but unless we're sitting comfy in the second half Hecky may not want to risk it for him. I feel bad every time I say it but I'd like to see Billy benched and potentially heald for the last 20 if needed. McB and Ndiaye for me, jebbo would be nice to see as well.

I suppose you can't play them all but Billy could do a bit of shithousing to rile them for the closing stages. That being said he's one stubborn bastard and often seems to find ways of scoring and shutting me up. Considering what we saw against Swansea I trust Hecky to make the right decisions.

In my opinion we are better than them all over the pitch.

I think we are one of, if not THE best team in the Championship when out of possession.

We just wear teams down.

Offensively goals come from everywhere and anywhere. Ndiaye hasn’t scored for a bit, but you’d hardly notice.

You look at players like Norwood and Egan and Berge and McBurnie and Ndiaye and they are big game players at this level, not to mention Bogle and Ahmedhodzic.

I’m not going to say anything about Boro and tempt fate, but that is a lot of Big Game players to shut down.

I still think we are the top team in the division. We had that horrendous injury spell from 1st to 22nd October where we took 3 points from 18. In the same spell Burnley took 12 from 18. For all the massive wankfest about them, this is the period when we were scratching around for players that they took advantage. Outside of this injury hit period we’ve accumulated 2 more points. Hopefully they get their own injury spell too. Otherwise luck with injuries is all that separates the two teams.

We are a Premier League team in waiting. We’ve been top two pretty much all year. Time to prove it further this week.

Well said.

As said, it picks itself.

Initially I felt bad for Coulibaly, having played well in the cup only to be omitted from the squad on Saturday... But Norwood soon put those thoughts to be with another quality performance

I genuinely think we will get more from Ndiaye alongside McBurnie. Im not sure why, but I don't think he is half the player when alonside the Captain. Okay he's been heavily man marked recently, but he drifts put wide most and isn't as direct..... McBurnies height should help free him up a bit.
On another thread there is talk of Ndiaye's form dropping off, but I think you are spot on, he has looked a better player alongside Mcburnie. And I'm not sure why either. Hopefully the next couple of games will prove us right.

Is Sharp injured?

He hobbled off on Saturday but there was something doing the rounds earlier to say that he had a scan and it was clear. Might still be too soon to risk him though.

This is a match where we cannot afford to miss our chances. We must be clinical in that final third. I know this is self evident but the last few games we’ve squandered chances, we can’t do this against Boro.

Jebbo, Ndiaye and Mcatee to stretch them from the off, Mcb off the bench to rattle em later on! Defense picks itself, we’re solid at the back!

The trick is to do it in a slightly different way every time, making it entertaining for both yourself AND the steward.
Thanks Greenwich, I'll try that. Maybe I could adopt a totally different approach and, instead of saying "fuck off" each time, use a different language and mood set. I'll try that on Wednesday. I could, for example, just say on the third occasion I'm asked, 'Hier ist meine Saisonkarte mein Freund', and pass by with a friendly smile and wave ...

I think we, the fans could be the difference, we've not been great this season but against Burnley we were brilliant,as was the team , the atmosphere Will be loud, could carry us on to a win, let's fuckin go for it.

Coulibaly was in the squad on Saturday and came on towards the end of the game,so you shouldn't feel too bad for him

Will let you know crab ... but however many times I'm asked, I've now been humbled to be far more respectful to our stewards who are - for heaven's sake - only doing what they've been asked to do. So they'll have my respect ...

Customer service is two sides if the same shitty stick mate, I know from my own job.

Some of the stewards I've come across can let the little bit of imaginary power go to their head. But the majority of them are just doing a poorly paid job, trying to enforce rules put in place by people who won't have to face the punters themselves.

Enjoy the game pal👍

Thought Coulibaly looked really good against Wrexham in the replay but then again, looked a bit out of sorts on Saturday when he came on against Swansea - he gave the ball away too easily on one occasion. He does, no doubt, have potential.

On the contrary, if they don’t score, we can afford to do this. A draw is of little use to them and fine for us.

More important than any of the above, how often will I be expected to show my season ticket to stewards on the kop before descending to my seat 😨!
How many threads do you have to post it it, stop being a fanny and show ur card, like every fucker…..ur not special… or maybe you are….

The thing is United fans are relaxed no promotion singing yet there fans full on promotion songs they got lucky at the Riverside we will win this

Boro have played 9 games against top half teams since Carrick took over. Won 4, lost 5. They have 6 remaining.

They also have Swansea, Brizzle, Udders and Rotherham left away from home.
They've only lost 3 since Carrick became manager. He was appointed on 24th October, they lost to Preston in his first game, and since then have lost to Burnley and Sunderland. They drew with Bristol City.

Mind you, the game against Burnley, they were stuffed. 3-1, and their goal was from a perfect through ball by our winger Benson. No idea what he was doing. Carrick came out with the very odd comment about how Middlesbrough controlled the game even by letting Burnley have the ball and defending well - he claimed you don't need to have the ball to control the game. (He also complained that a Burnley player fouled the Middlesbrough man outside the box - which he did - and the ref gave nothing when he might have given a penalty.)

If they play against you like they played against us, then start celebrating. They were poor.

👏👏👏Nice one fella 👍
