I think a fit Tommy Doyle takes Fleck’s shirt. He’s never really hit consistency since the long lay off with the back injury really. At times it does genuinely feel like we are playing with 10 men as he is nowhere to be seen.

The building blocks are there though and certain players are beginning to shine. The new signings look genuine improvements….. and if we bring in Khadra, we’ve got some very exciting times in front of us I feel.

The 35 minutes viewed, thanks SUTV, was frustrating until the goal at the end. Formation not working with the 3 up front. Osborn and Fleck at times filling the same space. Too slow build up and Berge just not getting into the game playing so deep.

Credit to Brewster for getting a foot to the ball as he was pushed over. Gage is back spouting his usual rubbish although I hope he's right with his theory that we are playing this formation to confuse Watford scouts . Need to up the tempo second half because last nights starting eleven looked much more up for it.

Brewster

Gk? - Osborn - Anel A, Robinson, Stevens, Jebbison, Arblaster

Honorable mentions to Coulibaly (for last night), with Bogle, Sharp, Doyle and Mc/burnie to come back into the squad.

We are still a couple light in the attacking positions(that I guess will be loans) and an obvious problem at RB until Bogle gets back, but otherwise it's a decent squad.

As ever at Championship level, success or failure will be driven by the form of key positions like GK, CH and strikers

Early thoughts….

Anel is a proper unit, with actual footballing ability. He is set to become a real favourite of ours I feel

Whatever this is that is happening with Brewster and Ndiaye….. yes please, I like it very much so. Both look very lively and in sync with one and other.

Anel likes a strong challenge, he'd have been booked in a regular league game
