Got the book last night just and finished the book this morning could not put it down fantastic read not been that engrossed in a book since the Harry potters

My favourite chapter is where Steve cowens & Wit all beat up a bunch of wheelchair bound disabled Burnley fans after the 2009 play off final

I've met Steve a few times, he was always welcoming and pretty sound. He had a bar in Eckington for a little while which was a little bit naughty and full of characters but sound enough.

He did tell me he can't go into town due to his past and basically that Wednesday are still looking for him. If true he was pretty easy for them to find yesterday at ponds forge

Not a fan of the big love in personally, find it weird that we have a new manager now and we’re still trying to figure out if the Prince or CW is in the wrong… who cares and what difference does it make now we have a brilliant manager with a great record? Andy McNab told me the same thing (SAS bloke, wrote "Bravo Two Zero"), only it wasn't Wednesday looking for him, and his real name isn't Andy McNab (although you probably all know this).

Is he (Steve Cowans) saying that some ageing Pig fans are still looking for him, after all these years?

Surely that would be the same for his pig opposite number, Tony Cronshaw (think that was the bloke, old overweight bloke who wrote some tall stories about his days as a pig hooligan), only he still drives a mini bus for away games and is dead easy to find!

Last night's event (which I didn't attend) was for this new book. Amazing to see so many legends were there.

Amazing so many are happy to slag off wilder still.
Chris and the Prince couldn't see eye to eye but it doesn't mean you have to pick a side. He didn't want to leave but felt had no choice. He's still a blade, he did a fantastic job for 4 out of his 5 seasons. And that last season was not exactly straightforward with covid too.

Wish them all well, we don't get connections with all players and managers like these all the time.

If it's damaging to the owner such that it introduced issues for the football club, then yeah.

If he comes out and says the owners a massive twat and a liar, not going to do Sheffield United much good is it?

He can say what he likes when the owner has moved on/ sold us but until then it'll just be damaging to the club and is likely to split the fans.

I used to work for said firm from Nottingham in both Sheffield and Derby.

All the BBC kicking off at all his doors all the time did was make him even richer than he was already due to venues having to employ more doormen.

This isn't a dig at the BBC BTW as I had no loyalty to said firm. I used to work wherever paid the best rate but there's this notion of "my Dad's bigger than your Dad" where their relationship is concerned.
