I seem to remember David Weir having an amazing interview - impressing the board with his spreadsheets, graphs and in-depth plans for the future.
That fucker turned out well didn't it??!!!!

They can still come to some agreement surely we see it often enough with other clubs we are treading water ATM, and we need stability.

Why? We’re shit and we’re down it’s not going to make any difference to anything.
It doesn’t stop us looking at new players, it doesn’t stop them identifying who they don’t want or whom they want to sell.
It gives us nothing apart from to fuck up their current sides season if it’s still running.

Interview process is locking them in a room with Van Winkle for 8 hours. Whoever gets on with him best gets the job.
 
Hoping we dodge SJ and Howe. We need someone that can manage on a budget, without an incredible wage and transfer budget. SJ in particular inherited incredibly talented squads at both Fulham and Watford. It's an incredibly naive person that doesn't put those promotions in context. His record in the Prem was also really poor given the resources at his disposal. Howe's second spell at Bournemouth he was given a blank cheque book too, smashing the financial fair play rules.On the other hand, they both play open, expansive football so we're unlikely to get bored to death like we did under Blackwell and Robson.
Hopefully there's a great left field option that will come to light shortly. Someone that has had success above and beyond the resources at their disposal.

Hard to judge SJ on his Prem record. Don't think it's much of a secret that Kahn was pulling the transfer strings behind the scenes and they chopped him after 11 games. The fact League winning Ranieri couldn't get a tune out of £100m worth of talent spoke volumes. Did well with Watford short term when the club was in its usual managerial chaos.

Every Fulham fan I've spoken to would have him back tomorrow.
 
It doesn't matter if he is friendly with the different board personalities.
It doesn't matter if he is a complete arse.
He has to be the best qualified to get the club back up, which is a very difficult task.
Instead of a slow, spiralling downward experiment.

Presumably it’s coming down to a decision between Jokanovic’s outstanding record of promotions from the Champ and Phillippe Clement’s use of a laser pen on his PowerPoint.
 
The jury is very much out, for me, as to whether he can work on a budget. He's had a lot of money in the past. Sure, he's very good with it but without it?

No thank you. He won't settle into the Sheffield culture. Fulham and Watford (and indeed London) is his experience of England. We need a complete change not the EFL Manager-go-Round. Blessin, pretty please.

Clement is unlikely to turn his back on a season of Champions/Europa League football with Club Brugge against the likes of Inter Milan, Bayern and Ajax for a wintry midweek Blades' game away at Peterborough?!?

I was being a bit flippant. But yes I’d rather have a proven promotion winner at Championship level. The Juniper league is completely different in terms of style of football to over here, Sander Berge said as much when he joined us.

Just not a recent winner and unable to anything of note in a much inferior league for the past couple of seasons. Fair enough, but it’s odd that no one has chosen to pick this proven championship winner since he left Fulham.
Does that not raise any concerns? Why are clubs desperate to get up and with huge budgets not turning to him before we have?

That actually hasn't been proven yet, there is a potential appeal route SUFC and he could take if there ever inclined to try. But on that point what's in Jokanovic's track record or citizenships that enables him to work in a post-Brexit UK? He's Serbian, which means he not even an EU citizen. Anyone know how he qualifies to work in the UK?

I imagine he got a bumper contract in the Gulf and wanted to see that out. I don’t really see it that material to his competence.

Presumably you are worried that no one else is after Philippe Clement in the Championship? Or Blessin?
