Or take advice from Mark NobleQuestion 1: Will you bang on about how much other clubs have spent during pre and post match interviews?
I think you can see that without being there. At how bad it is in the flesh.
They can still come to some agreement surely we see it often enough with other clubs we are treading water ATM, and we need stability. What if he's under contract? What if his current side still have games to play? What if we're still ironing out some details?
And where's the benefit for us to do this now?
Why? We’re shit and we’re down it’s not going to make any difference to anything. They can still come to some agreement surely we see it often enough with other clubs we are treading water ATM, and we need stability.
Interview process is locking them in a room with Van Winkle for 8 hours. Whoever gets on with him best gets the job.Been told today categorically it won’t be Jokanovic. Supposedly they’ve spoken to him but he didn’t interview well. (Nathan Hemmingway eludes to this when he says he was the least prepared due to his contract just ending)
I have no reason not to believe this source, however if Jokanovic is appointed I’ll never share any rumours again.
I thought I was doing well until he turned round and said “my name is Jan. Why the fuck do you keep calling me Simon?”Interview process is locking them in a room with Van Winkle for 8 hours. Whoever gets on with him best gets the job.
Hoping we dodge SJ and Howe. We need someone that can manage on a budget, without an incredible wage and transfer budget. SJ in particular inherited incredibly talented squads at both Fulham and Watford. It's an incredibly naive person that doesn't put those promotions in context. His record in the Prem was also really poor given the resources at his disposal. Howe's second spell at Bournemouth he was given a blank cheque book too, smashing the financial fair play rules. On the other hand, they both play open, expansive football so we're unlikely to get bored to death like we did under Blackwell and Robson.
Hopefully there's a great left field option that will come to light shortly. Someone that has had success above and beyond the resources at their disposal.
Clement, in fact Clement's is superior. Two national league titles, possibly three once their seasons ends.Balls to how he interviewed, the blokes took two clubs out of this division in the last 5 years.
Who else is out there with his pedigree?
Interviewed poorly? I think his track record at Championship level speaks for itself.

Well there is one man out of a job with a decent record....Balls to how he interviewed, the blokes took two clubs out of this division in the last 5 years.

Great, pleased to know we base it all on how they interview. Clearly like those who talk a good game, this bloke has been there and done it. Asking for power points and details from a bloke who’s history says it all is a little silly.
No thank you. He won't settle into the Sheffield culture. Fulham and Watford (and indeed London) is his experience of England. We need a complete change not the EFL Manager-go-Round. Blessin, pretty please.![]()
Sheff Utd want Championship promotion expert Jokanovic to get them back to Prem
SHEFFIELD UNITED want to tempt Slavisa Jokanovic back to England to lead them back to the Premier League at the first try. The Blades, who look doomed, have started their hunt for a long-term boss …www.thesun.co.uk

Clement is unlikely to turn his back on a season of Champions/Europa League football with Club Brugge against the likes of Inter Milan, Bayern and Ajax for a wintry midweek Blades' game away at Peterborough?!?Presumably it’s coming down to a decision between Jokanovic’s outstanding record of promotions from the Champ and Phillippe Clement’s use of a laser pen on his PowerPoint.
You believe it’s hugely different to the Championship? He’s won the last 3 titles in that league with 2 different teams, what’s Slav done in the past 3 seasons? Any titles to report?Aye but that’s int Juniper league.

Writes off winning 3 league titles in Belgium while bigging up an outstanding record of winning nothing in the Middle East.
Just not a recent winner and unable to anything of note in a much inferior league for the past couple of seasons. Fair enough, but it’s odd that no one has chosen to pick this proven championship winner since he left Fulham.I was being a bit flippant. But yes I’d rather have a proven promotion winner at Championship level. The Juniper league is completely different in terms of style of football to over here, Sander Berge said as much when he joined us.
That actually hasn't been proven yet, there is a potential appeal route SUFC and he could take if there ever inclined to try. But on that point what's in Jokanovic's track record or citizenships that enables him to work in a post-Brexit UK? He's Serbian, which means he not even an EU citizen. Anyone know how he qualifies to work in the UK?Blessin can’t get a work permit.

Does that not raise any concerns? Why are clubs desperate to get up and with huge budgets not turning to him before we have?
