Hes still first choice for me.
If we get him or not is another thing.
We definitely seem to be going down the foreign manager route, as I personally think that if it had been a British manager, we would have known by now in regards to how long it's taken.
I think it’s just a bit more difficult to talk to them given current restrictions. I think personally I’d like to meet them face to face and listen to them present to me in the same room before I signed off with £100m of the clubs future.

Money was the main element of his original come and get me plea put out in the press.
Not that he sees it as a great opportunity to get back into the Premier League, and he’d welcome the chance to talk to us, just I’m interested if you’d make me the highest paid manager.

I think becoming the highest paid manager would come with promotion. Given the task in hand with out of form and aging players if he does get us promoted then he'd deserve it.
Presumably Wilders contract had a relegation clause in it, so I don't think Jokanovic should get the 4M wilder was reportedly on this season, but we'd have to offer him a top championship salary obviously.

Agree, I’d offer him a £1 million contract with a £1 million bonus for promotion.

I’m aware of all that, so why didn’t he state how much he wants to talk to us rather than he’s interested if we pay him the most. It ain’t a great look when he could at least tickle our balls a bit, unless it’s all about the Benjamin’s.
He probably isnt interested in us per se, just wants a job in england and we fit now being managerless and backed by parachute payments I'd imagine he sniffs around west brom too if Allardyce goes

They should link playing and coaching staff wages to league position, commercial income and ticket sales.

Bettis gave Wilder a £4 million contract. 😂

Not sure what came out was particularly accurate and people mixed-up, or, more accurately, were led to believe, that CW was on £4m/annum - that was not the case. He may well have sought that amount during the negotiations regarding his departure but his annual salary was a long way off that figure. Don't get me wrong, he was on a generous contract that reflected the success he'd brought to the club but his base was nowhere near that salary. Incidentally, he also received nowhere that amount when he left.

The Prince said £4m was ALMOST his annual salary. What figure do you think is more accurate?

Been told today categorically it won’t be Jokanovic. Supposedly they’ve spoken to him but he didn’t interview well. (Nathan Hemmingway eludes to this when he says he was the least prepared due to his contract just ending)

I have no reason not to believe this source, however if Jokanovic is appointed I’ll never share any rumours again 😂.

Interesting if true. Personally I hope Clement blew it out the park.

This is why I love this forum. For these little nuggests (that are totally believable btw) that may or may not be true yet takeover my whole afternoon.

When you hear the phrase "didn't interview well" it always makes me think of The Apprentice and the daft questions they ask like "if you could choose, which fruit would you be?"

As long as Hecky and Tindall didn't interview well.

if he's interviewed badly then I'd expect it'll be Clement.

I once interviewed a lad in his early 20s for a job paying £12,000 a year.

I asked him if he had any thoughts or ambitions about the direction he wanted to go in within our industry (he had applied on the basis of the Uni course he'd done).

He said his only ambition was to be a millionaire in 5 years 😆

What do we have to talk about if it wasn't for them? It's those that want all the acclaim for being ITKs so start just spouting any sort of shite.
Those that said SJ was nailed on and a done deal would have genuinely believed it at the time. Times change.

Better than the arrogant little twats to think it's clever to say "to be sat at your desk". Yeah, you fucking think so?

I hope they did. I want everyone to interview amazingly well so we can make the best choice.
To be honest they could have absolutely lit the room up, which would be great for us to file as people to keep an eye on in future.
They're not qualified at this period in time to be considered, and I doubt either would be interviewed unless the specifically asked to be.
Neither of them are getting it, but I wouldn't be too quick to bin Tindall as by all considered opinions he's a very good coach and therefore an asset if we're bringing someone in.

Hecky speaks well, so I have little doubt he would interview well. But that streak of shite further down the CV is his record since taking over. 1 win, against a team as abject as us on the night, and it wouldn't have been a win had VAR not been available.

No doubt in my mind that Hecky is a nice fella, but there's equally no doubt in my mind that he isn't the guy for the job.

Agree 100 percent there Si.. Though I'll admit he's a quality youth coach (as shown by the U23s' running away from the league)

Absolutely, he's done a great job with them.

I've been meaning to ask, who's Si? :D :D
