Valérien Ismaël is the only choice I'd be happy with now. Can't be on huge wages and if Barnsley don't go up then I think we could pinch him... but we'll end up with Hecky,

I don't think he's the right option at all if we are trying to build something sustainable. His football is horrendous and he's had one good season.

The Poundland Prince probably couldn't ever afford Jokanovic, either that or Jokanovic probably wanted some semblance of a budget to play with & turned it down when he found out that the intention is to sell off all of our best players.

I suspect we'll fuck this up like we did with Robson. Heckingbottom or Tindall to stay on as yes men anyone?
I’d be happy for Heck to stay on, as manager of the u23s, where he was doing an excellent job.

Well one thing is certain, they are extremely good at keeping people guessing.

If it is Hecky than I can only imagine he'll be pretty much a head coach rather than a manager. Spoke to a Barnsley fan yesterday, says he's a great bloke and would make a great lower league manager, but not up to it in the championship.

Our priority is to get promoted. Building something sustainable needs money, which we won’t have if we don’t go up. It also takes time, which we haven’t got. That’s the reality of football. It goes like this
1. Recruitment. Needs sorting now, players and manager.
2.Promotion.
3.Sort the academy out. Using PL money.

Get 1 and 2 right and you can do 3. When you’ve done that, start looking at the style of football we play and how we can make it more attractive without getting the soft centre that a lot of clubs that try to play top 6 football on bottom 6 budgets suffer from.
Get them wrong, or try to do them in the wrong order and we’ll see exactly what we saw post Warnock.

Fair opinion. But who is sustainable in your eyes from the potential list?

I'm not sure as I don't know where we are as a club right now. I just think the Barnsley bloke will be hated after a few months if results aren't great as the football will be dire. Just my opinion though. If he does come I hope he proves me wrong.

Unitedworld needs the big name reputation Terry or Lampard would bring and possibly attract the Saudi investment HRH needs to grow his business. The 5 don't.

One question though before we all lose our shit is, do we actually know who has applied for it? Can only be considered if they’ve applied. Does anyone have definitive information that SJ even applied?

I'm getting scared by the shouts of having Warnock back FFS he's almost 73, and last time he was here the season in PL was his own personal ride to fame and fortune I SAY NO.

I for one will not be setting foot in Bramall lane again until Joecanovich is announced as manager 🥶🥶🥶

Its an absolute disgrace that the manager we were rumored to want has now been rumored to not be on the hypothetical list that the prince has created

If one is chiefly concerned about one's reputation, the last thing one should do is to hire John fucking Terry.

Some of our fans are so “down the rabbit hole” it’s impossible to work out of this is brilliant satire or an incredibly pathetic truth.

Agree. He seems a top bloke too.

Just not what's needed if the criteria is someone capable of bringing us back at the first attempt.

Although, I have doubts that that's the club's true ambition. They'd love it, of course. But whether they're going to have a proper go at it... I doubt.

Bear in mind most championship clubs make a loss. PA can’t afford to run a club that loses money. If we don’t go up he’s going to have to sell the club for about a quarter of what he’d have got for a PL club. I’d say he’s pretty incentivised.

I’m not even convinced there is a 5 man shortlist.

PA has already gone on record to say that we aim to get back into the premiership as it is the only league where we can make money a d he wants to establish us there
He knows that he has to provide funds for us to reclaim our position and whilst this May mean he has to sell some to provide funds for a rehash, if he was in it to assert strip he would have sold at the end of last season
All these references to Poundland Prince are laughable
