He just got a win on Saturday so recency bias probably works in favour of mentioning him now.

His efforts at Leeds and Hibs were pretty poor and his permanent time at Barnsley in terms of win% pretty average if that.

Bettis can’t give jobs for the boys with Tindall. He did a pretty shit job at Bournemouth as manager suggesting he’s in no way capable of inheriting the same position here. Who is clamouring for Warnock? Nobody. But the past 18 months shows Warnock>Woodgate>Tindall.

Unless it ends up being a desperate punt then it should be Blessin or Jokanovic. Blessin is relatively unproven too. Jokanovic is the most serious and compelling candidate by far.

Out of all the managers currently working in the UK or who have worked in the UK before, the man I would most trust to get us promoted first time around is Warnock. After getting us up, pay him off and appoint Blessin or whoever, look long term.

Now this isn't a serious suggestion and I don't want Warnock but why don't I, why don't other blades? Shouldn't we be looking to maximise our promotion chances as overall priority? Then one step at a time.

He is a perennial promotion winner, gets teams up, gets teams over achieving, a second tier Pep in terms of doing the job. Yes, he's shit in the PL but we're not there anymore. Not many would have taken Cardiff up like he did or kept bad teams up like he did (e.g. Boro). The guy is a clown but a very good Championship manager. Odd.

Nothing happened at Leeds really. He came in for the run in, had 4 months & 16 games and they managed to snag Bielsa.

Leeds were burning through managers and the fans hate him because they're all dickheads.

You might laugh S40BLADE but some years ago, some people on here were crying out for KR to be our next manager.

He got his Oxford side to last years play-off final and they lost to Wycombe.

This year Oxford are just outside the play-off places by 1 point with 2 games left.

Why don't people just wait and see who we appoint .no point anyone coming in untill we are down to our last couple of games ,as for hecky he's had to come in and do the career killer which is caretaker manager ,so the man deserves some respect for stepping up and remember what a cracking job he was doing at 23 level .
What Bettis was doing was showing him that respect, shame some of our so called fans can't do the same .It won't be him by the way .

Guess we will just have to find out and see. There may well be a 5 man shortlist and then someone not on that is appointed too. Prince has said wants a long term manager so Slavisa doesn't fit that bill.
Heckingbottom could prove to be good, but I can't say that his previous record and so far shows much for the position. Blessin could be just the ticket but not even quite finished his first season in management....
Out of the bookies favorites none really set my sense alight.
