Tough one this. Although they're having a shit season they're always very positive at home and for some reason they always seem up for it against us.

I lived and worked in Bristol for a few years and have some city supporting mates so I'll be getting plenty of texts on Saturday morning. It was tempting to go but Christmas is too close and I fancy going to Barnsley away.

I think it will be tight but the Blades will continue an unbeaten run. My team would be essentially unchanged:-

Simonsen
Calve, Bartley, Nosworthy, Jordan
Yeates, Britton, Montgomery, Reid
Evans, Cresswell

Prediction: 1-1

I would replace Creswell with Lowton and play the same line up as Millwall away. Free role for Reid behind Evans. If Ward is fit I would play him on the right of midfield instead of Calve

Na then fellow Blades. To all those travelling to Bristol today have very safe journeys in these snowy conditions.
I for one am now setting off from Norwich to give myself plenty of time.
I'm going for 2-0 Blades today.

Drive carefully Gazblade. We were due to set off at about 10.30am...might be a touch earler now with this snow. That is provided the dog sitter can still turn up and if she doesn't,someone will have to volunteer to stay at home(won't be me as I am the only one who drives)

I fancy Chedwyn to win it for us today. UTB

Just about to set off to fetch Ballinpigpubs13, a few inches of snow here!

was ropey between Ches. and Derby, we had a snow plow at one point!

cresswell off red card, the most embarassing referee performance i have ever heard

From I were sat both pens and the sending off we can't have many complaints about. What is frustrating is the inconsistency. Not long after cresswell went they had an equally appalling challenge on Lowton that only recieved a yellow. Just put this one down to one of those games and move on.

I said it yeserday and I'll say it again, the 2nd penalty was iffi. Our defender was falling down nearly horizontal, looked to me as he was protecting his face as he fell. Not deliberately hand ten foot in the air. Hurumph

I totally disagree, you weren't sat, you were stood up.

We were second best to a very average team. I don't think we won a ball in midfield all afternoon and we didn't force James into making a save - very worrying.

I thought we were comfortably the better team up until the red card (despite the penalties). James pulled off a very good save low down from a snap shot after a corner, that a lesser keeper wouldn't have stopped, and Ched hit the bar. I don't recall Simonsen making many saves either.

I thought we were doing okay until we did the usual caving in trick too.

We certainly looked the most like scoring until we gifted them 3. We were just never going to get back into the game after the red card.

The first five minutes we looked OK Quinn could have scored but it was all down hill from there on in as far as I could see. BBC stats Shots on target 8 -2 Shots off target 7 - 2 both in favour of Bristol City. I know it's selective but their central defenders were smoking cigars for most of the match.

After such a good result week before we really should have done better and 3-0 was a disaster ! hopefully we can bounce back and start to put on a good run and move away from relegation zone !
