Which is what makes the John Terry, Ferdinand incident, so disgusting. One didn't need to be a lip reader to see what he said.
 
Taking my Mi5 hat off and putting my united fan one on instead I do think he’d be a very good addition to the team.
 
Said it before on here, Weirdly West Brom includes him on their kit launch images, solo not group ones. Think they were hoping to keep him if when they went up..... lol
 
Che Adams looks like he has grown about six inches in height since that picture was taken!

I think we need players all over the park mate. Goalkeeper - for sure, well we all know that. Strikers: I think we probably all know that as well. Competition for Fleck and Duffy in midfield - that would be a good thing. But defence? Yes, I do think we need some incoming there. I think we need to find competition for the likes of Baldock and Basham, much as I like these guys, I don't think they are Prem quality, sorry an' all that, but that's my opinion. They'll bust a gut for us, but at the end of the day we must not forget that we are going to be competing against some of the best teams in the world. But an area I think we need to strengthen is down the centre at the back. In particular, we need someone with pace at the back (not just up front). I can see O'Connell and Egan getting done for pace otherwise at this level. Having someone who could play alongside them in that defensive 3, but someone with pace, would be a big boost I think. A bit like when we paired Morgan with Killgallon. Morgs went for the 1st ball, Killgallon swept up the 2nd ball. And if Morgs got done for pace - which was fairly regularly - Killgallon had the pace to make up for it.
 
All teams who get promotion need strengthening .We are a bit thin in all areas 16 players at best at the moment.
Feel sure we will be testing the loan market as well as some shrewd buys.
Wilder will know what's needed.
Didn't he say he had put in what he felt was needed and was happy with his budget.
Bettis also said theres a bit of flexibility within that as well,whatever that means.

The problem with loans is you can plan them but they are usually last minute with several clubs hoping to win a race. Unfortunately, if you are an unfashionable club you risk missing out leaving gaps in the team.
That said it’s one thing being an unfashionable team with an unfashionable manager (eg Colin) and a totally different situation being an unfashionable team with a manager with stick as high as Wilders.
 
Not watched him play recently so dont know but does Jags still have plenty of pace ? Putting him in with JOC and Egan might sort the back 3 out.

I think defence is the least of our worries though. I'm convinced JOC and Egan are more than up to premiership level. Plus even if you have the best defence in the world you are still going to concede to the likes of Aguero,Salah et al.

Upfront is what will determine our success or lack of next season.
 
No brainer. Sign him.

No other loan options stand out and none are needed in attacking positions.

Signing Holgate would mean no Phillips, because we'd still want a CM in addition to either.

Presumably it would mean no Amartey either as he'd be a loan you'd think...
