Well there you go, hopefully it’s worth a load of income to us, we can then increase the bid for Luke Freeman 😂

Front of shirt and sleeve

Hopefully that means they've just bought that space and I can have 2 PL logos.

Do you need to be on the sleeve if you're on the front already?

I like them if they've changed their logo to red. Should look decent on the new shirt unless we really make an effort to fuck it up. Shame they're sponsoring the sleeve as well though I wanted a "Who will be the sleeve sponsor" thread after this as it's been great fun this ever since the "Watch this space" announcement.....

I'm being a bit of a dick here, but I really do hope there's something else going on today because building this up for so long and having a special unveiling of an Australian Forrex sponsor would be a little disappointing.
Foxy ? 😉

I mean, I'll defend the club over a lot and often think that our supporters expect too much.

BUT, they've been building the hype for over a month and a half. They've assembled press for a major new sponsor.

And it's a fucking Aussie Forex company. It may be our biggest deal ever, but it fucking should be. If the commercial team couldn't secure our biggest deal to date when sponsors are spending the most they've ever spent, then they'd want sacking. And then they have the neck to pat themselves on the back for getting on for two months.

Urgh.

Well done.

Just thinking the same! I can't beleive it wasn't announced by Kylie being parachuted into the Lane on the back of a kangaroo blowing red and white smoke out of it's arse. McCabe out!

Now that's something I could get on board with.....literally

USGFX went through a strange episode in the summer of 2017, with its China office raided and employees held hostage for a week. The angry clients were demanding the return of about $2.6 million in losses they had reportedly incurred on Australia-to-U.S. dollar (AUDUSD) trades, blaming USGFX for their losses. The episode was eventually resolved.

No mention of what the deal means to the club financially over the 3 year period?

Bearing in mind that it was 2006/2007 when last in the Prem and sponsorship deals weren't very lucrative for clubs like us in those days, so saying this is the biggest sponsorship deal in our history tells us fk all really

Educated guess - this deal will be worth at least £1,000,000 a year (while we're in the Premier League). Can you imagine United's commercial team sitting down with USG and saying "look, thanks for the cash but we're going to go with a low key launch as we think Disappointed Darren from Dinnington is going to be a bit underwhelmed that it's not Apple or Adidas or Mercedes"?

USG are doing this for brand awareness and, even though the global TV audiences will be what they're after, I think it's the least the club can do to create as much hype as possible.

Anyone who got genuinely excited about who the sponsor was and feels really, really let down today has only got themselves to blame. I think the only thing that's "embarrasing" and "disappointing" (quotes from twitter etc, not your post) is the reaction of people who are old enough to know better.
