What a potential cracker of a match this evening, as we travel to Championship leaders Wolves. We were incredibly unlucky to lose the midweek match against Villa, but it's now made this one all the more important. Live on TV again, and hopefully this time a more favourable outcome...

Wolves have stuttered in recent weeks, but still find themselves 11 points clear at the top. Obviously our results have been poor in comparison, but the performances on the whole have remained excellent....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Unchanged?

Probably not but what changes then?

Duffy surely has to feature?

Hard to know what the exact line-up will be?

Obviously an incredibly difficult game, and I'm not as confident as in some weeks, but this is the kind of match where CW often shows his mettle. We, as many before us (and after us) will be struggling to take points away from Molineux. That said it's a 1-1 draw for me with Clarke the scorer.

Safe journey folks...

The only change I would think about is Duffy for Leonard, that said we may need more solidity so Leonard probably gives us more.

Up front while he’s not scoring Leon’s workmate is still good and every wolves fan I know is convinced he will score against them.

Team for me....

Moore

Basham Stearman O'Connell

Baldock Leonard Evans Fleck Lafferty

Donaldson Clarke

Subs: Eastwood, Stevens, Lundstram, Duffy, Holmes, Wilson, Sharp

Got to make sure we're solid and play with good energy.

Donaldson has to start.

I'd get Duffy on quite early if needs be but I think it's a good idea to rest him to try and keep him in good condition and form approaching the end of the season.

I think we'll score. I don't think we'll lose by more than one goal. Should be a good footballing game.

Is it so bad that I just want these next two games out of the way.
We are almost playing two premiership sides in a row.
I don't want to duck a challenge, the Leeds game will be tough but what better way to get back on track than a packed house in a Yorkshire derby beating those scum.

Litterally not once have I said I wanted a point this season... today id snap your hand off.

Will need the performance of the season to get something from this, but we are capable, however you would have to make Wolves clear favourites.

If we are to get anything we need to score first and relatively early, go behind early and it could be a long night.

What about 2-0 down early, like at Villa? The one think about this current Blades team under the tutelage of Wilder, is that we never say die!

Wolves are a different proposition to Villa I think.

I expect Holmes to play 'No.10' with Clarke alone up front.

Central midfield Fleck, Leonard with Evans and Lundstram anchoring. Usual wing backs though Lafferty might play.

Just maybe Wilson alone up front.

Strong team for anybody to break down unless we go 'gung-ho'. Wolves fans hope we do according to their views on Roy's thread.

Any number of options for last 20 minutes.

Prediction is that we'll either win 1-0 or 2-1 in a scrappy game...or get tonked 4-0. If we play at our best, we can worry and challenge them...if we're off the pace they will rip us apart.
Is that what's called a spread bet?

I just can't fathom how people expect us to create anything whilst leaving Duffy out the side.

Why leave your best player out the side? Odd.

3-1 they have pace that will exploit our defence when where pressing.

Needs to be upfront if he's a goal scorer cause he bounces off wet toilet paper. Boy amongst men against Villa, needs bulking up or used as a scorer.

Sweeping statement maybe. Give the lad time. Pace beats muscle in so many situations and we've had so little of it. Fair amount of the other over the years, often neither!

If I was a gambling man I'd back Wolves to win but the championship is a tight league with little to choose between the teams. Who'd have expected Bristol City to lose to lowly Bolton last night?
It's not beyond us but it will take a very good performance to get anything out of the game. I'm sure our players will be up for it. And if we lose, maybe just accept that it's very difficult to win away at the league's top side and not start pointing fingers at Wilder and the team?

Clarke and Donaldson upfront for me. Wolves away is one of the few fixtures where we may be beaten for possession and Donaldson has been lethal on the counter attack this season

Absolutely love wilders prematch press conference at Wolves.

Kin hell just watching Cardiff v Leeds and it aint pretty !! Long throwing's , hoof ball , bully boy tactics with their new 6 mill dirty bastard Madine , I don't think Cardiff have made one pass on the floor typical Warnock tactics that seem to work as Cardiff have just gone 1-0 up , guess what it was a header as well !!
