I think the reason Bristol got into the playoffs with a relatively low total was that the top 3 took a total of knocking on 300 points, this season the points have been shared throughout the league which means if the second half of the season follows the trend of the first, then you would be be looking at upwards of 75 points to get into the player offs, so we would need roughly 2 points a game average to get there, although that is doable but it would be a difficult task

depends on the number of drawn games , 100 draws rather than 50 in a period and 50 points dissappear from the totals we didnt draw any away games in 2025

I think I’ve previously said it highly unlikely after the inconsistency of the run of game West Brom through to Wrexham, but a 50% win rate doesn’t seem that impossible.

Last 2 games were against teams in awful form - we dispatched them well which is all we can ask, but I’ll hang on until the end of January before getting too excited as we’ve a run of games against sides who have ‘got their shit together’ let’s say (bar Oxford).

Surely to get top 6 we only need to make up ground on 6th place?

Well no, because who's to say who 6th is? We can't target a team like Ipswich/Coventry. Making ground up on all of them is the only way to make ground up on one of them. And it's almost impossible to make up ground on 6th but not all else.

Doesn't matter which team it is. Keep on reducing the gap to 6th place in the table regardless of other results
