The only chance of seeing him play for us would be a deal that Everton sign him but loan him back to us for next season.

But if this was allowed to happen he would deserve every thing thrown at him it would be indefensible
 
Just browsing the twitterblades hashtag and the best thing about it is grunters who genuinely believe the sarcastic tweets from blades regarding winning the league after beating stocky 9-0 then poking fun about it like we mean it. They're a special kind of stupid.

Let's be right, last season nobody really rated DCL and I doubt he would have made the side.
This season, it seems to me that this lad might well be making our own team (bench) most weeks. Especially if Holmes doesn't arrive.

As long as we have him tied to a nice long contract then we may well make him a good while yet. We might even come back with a nice little wage rise for him and tie him in a bit longer.

Glad Brooks got a chance to show his quality. People may disagree with this assessment but I think if ever there was a time to hold onto a player this is it. Brooks looks like he will develop into a fatastic talent and even if you are resigned to losing him - his value will only rise if he breaks into the team so what's the point in selling him now?

why??? if he left it would be because wilder sanctioned it, you know the manager, but i guess any reason to blame mccabe for everything, last time i checked we had 2 owners aswell, nice to see its taken about 7 minutes after a pre season friendly for negativity
 

I know there's been a lot of interest in brooks since the Toulon tournament. No firm offers though!. After today's performance, I would imagine wilder will want to play him in a few more friendly games and then make a judgement on whether to let him go out on loan?. I M O. Wilder is not stupid and won't let McCabe sell him just to cash in on him!!. I think he'll stay at the lane as it's looking unlikely that Holmes or Leonard will be coming to bdtbl?. I M O. Utb
 
he wont leave unless sir chris thinks its for the best, for example a huge fee he feels would help him get a much better squad, mccabe would no way risk the current crest were riding by selling brooks without wilders consent, because he will know as well as we do that wilder would walk if that happened

If what were allowed to happen? Let's assume a Premiership club comes in offering millions to us and wages to Brooks three times as much as our highest paid player...who's going to tell him he can't go?

I'm not sure that elite clubs get carried away on the basis of performances against non-league opposition in pre-season friendlies...
