Long was far to slow to pick up the midfielder who drove the shot into the top corner from 20 yards.
If that hadn't happened we would have kept a clean sheet and earned a creditable draw to a side who were a championship side last season. Terrible marking George.
 

Long is NOT good enough but they had Mark fucking Howard in the net today and we didn't have one single shot at him :mad: It should have been shoot on sight

Therein lie the perils of posting whilst pissed Eddie . Barney's hearts in the right place but he should really give posting a miss when he's had a couple of shandies .

Sadly though , he won't , and neither will a couple of other drama Queens who frequent the board . Opinions are opinions though , and pissed , deluded or just plain wrong , they have a right to air them .

And that just sums it up. Our goalkeeping coach should have known Howard's weak points , and maximised on them.

Another area of failure expected under Adkins but not Wilder . New goalkeeping coach for a starter for 10
 
Do you have a Barney obsession Wincobank Blade? You get really riled up about his throw away comments on a message board. Never really understood how grown men can get so angry over so little. Very strange.
 
Who do we think we are? Unfortunately we are in league one. We have have a goalkeeper who is a Sheffield lad and who is currently our no. 1. Yes, he needs to improve, yes he needs to take on board the majority of what you are saying. But for fucks sake, give him a chance. And by chance I mean a few seasons. We are a poorly run club in a shit division. Who do you honestly think we are going to get/can afford. Get behind him, what is slating him going to do? Spearing has banged in a wonder strike today, lets take it on the chin and move on. Not Georges fault.

how many goals did he cost last season when he was young player of the year and runner up for the senior. Yes the competition wasn't great but he kept his head for the most part. People can see his weaknesses but every keeper has them at this level.

We need to concentrate on the other end. Fleck needs a partner and we need a quick winger. They should be our top priorities. If you can improve on Long at the same time, fine.. but you will struggle whether you like it or not.

No I'm not talking about you mate I'm just making generalisations. The thing is Unitedites always have to have a scapegoat, we have done for years, some players deserved it some definitely didn't and unfortunately no matter what George Long does a large proportion of our support will be waiting to jump on him with the blame for anything that goes wrong. For the sake of his career Long needs to move away from this club before it destroys him, a bit sad really but better players than him have suffered the hate from our crowd John Gannon immediately springs to mind. Shit fans? plenty of evidence on this thread.

Totally agree united supporters have always been the same . Only the players names have changed.
Seems as though were not happy unless were miserable .
Ime surprised anyone signs for us. Have a bad that day at the office and you've blown it forever.

On the other hand, I could use my phone, computer and tablet to log in under three different user names and have conversations with my selves. So when people log in and out is probably irrelevant these days.

Lol, unless you moved to Oxford and regularly attended Oxford Utd games it wasn't possible for anyone to see him in the 14/15 season so really it's only the 13/14 season and the 15/16 season that anyone can talk about.

I've got 4G and I could use a proxy. IMO it's a bit harsh accusing someone of being someone else without any proof.
