Written a new second verse to a forgotten chant from the early 60s- Shoreham Street Magnifique. A great chant that needs bringing back, with a second verse to commemorate the famous day we sent W******** down.
We’ve travelled far and wide!
London to Merseyside!
But there is only one place we want to be.
And that is Shoreham Street!
Where it is Magnifique!
And where the Wednesdayites,
Lay dead at our feet.
We sent the bastards down!
Off to the slaughterhouse!
Chansiri led, Burrows and Bamford finished the job.
Hear the Shoreham roar!
Now that we’ve settled the score!
Wednesday are dead, Sheffield is red,
Wilder the King
(Repeat)
I know the tune, but not sure what song it is. If anyone knows please reply with it. Slaughterhouse obviously a reference to pigs. Settled the score a reference to avenging Boxing Day. The last line being exactly what’s been settled by Relegation Day.
