I wasn't at the game today. But it has been clear for a while that he's not up to the standard we require. He had 2 good spells, as far as I recall. One was when Howard was injured shortly after Clough took over. He stepped up to the challenge and had a good few months. The other time was a brief spell in the middle of last season. The rest has been average. His confidence issues are neither here nor there. You can train a player to get over that.
You know what his problem is? He's about 0.25 seconds too slow. He reacts well, never gets sent the wrong way, but the quicker shots he lets in, his arms are never at full stretch. If he was a hair's breadth quicker he'd be a great keeper. As it stands he is merely good.
