WHERE DOES THAT SAY ALL OUR FANS ARE SHIT

I accept any criticism of the club , I have criticised us , but
it needs balance
some a few , just start negative stay negative and will wake up tommorrow negative

there are a few who see no future, have no hope
they need to try and be more balanced is all I ever put
not as you wrote
all our fans are shit
again an extreme negative take on the reality of what I write

theres criticism and then theres constant levels of abuse and whining
yes none of us want to be here
but some have decided that kicking the club in every way possible while its down will magic us up
What does this mean then ?

What does this mean then ?
what it says
Im optimistic , but occasionally criticise ,
I have a day off from being optimistic, like when I realised Adkins was inadequate last february
some are negative , and seem incapable of being anything else
all Im saying is have a day off being so negative , now and then

theres no balance
its all one way , gloomy view gloomy outlook gloomy future
you never know , it might brighten up

You're more negative than anyone the only difference is yours is directed at the fans and others is directed at the board manager players and club in general

That's fine that's what a message board is for to air your views about sufc

You choose to use it as a platform to belittle the clubs beleaguered supporters and others use it to vent their frustrations at perceived shortcomings at the club

We like to leave ourselves short
This my friend is bullshit. Not a single member of the club, or supporter, likes "to leave ourselves short". It happens, of course that is true, but to suggest anybody is happy about it is wrong.

Well the board certainly never try hard enough to avoid it.

I'd love someone to tell me why failure doesn't seemingly bother the board. It's got to be one off the most stupid points posted on here.

It's not a case of not trying hard enough it's not being good enough. Unless you can tell me why McCabe and the Prince have enjoyed spunking the best part of £20m in L1?

There are of course people out there who are capable of doing it - sadly no one wants to pay McCabes price to try - but I doubt very much anyone on here can, despite what they might think.

could name 70 odd other clubs in similar straits , bet they all have a little hope
ps its only 10 years since we won a promotion , your memories bad

some fans go to extremes
a report on the offer we made for leon clarke said it was a 5 figure sum
why did he pick the lowest ammount and say we offered 10000
five figures range from 10000 to 99999, why insult the club by saying it was the lowest possible
its not clever being that sarcastic, and totally unrealistic
might have been 80k might have been 50k , but never 10

My memory is fine. One promotion in ten years is pathetic for a club the size of ours. If you think otherwise you have very low standards for it which would probably explain your perpetual misguided optimism. Each to their own.

It's at least debatable that it is down to "hard work". I'd suggest that's just one of several far more complex issues.

One promotion in 25 years

Don't think it's a lack of trying Ricky, more a lack of ability and constant knee jerk reactions rather than creating a plan and working through it.

Certainly not a lack of trying, but they way they operate it's like "trying" to dig your way to Australia using a Teaspoon. You can try all you like but you'll get nowhere.

By 'trying' I mean investing that little bit more when most required, and investing in the right way.

I think the argument and difference in people's perception is that if they are not good enough, they should pay more money to compensate for their lack of competence. The paying of the money being the "try hard enough part".

McCabe's been forking out for years but he hasn't been forking out enough to make up for his own incompetence as the net result is the deterioration of the football club.

No need to name 70. I’d be impressed if you could name 5 clubs of a similar size to ours (fanbase etc.) who have

a) not won a major trophy for over 90 years and

b) managed to spend 6 consecutive years in the third tier.

The floor’s yours.

1. Luton, Colchester, Blackpol and Southend haven’t been promoted above us. They were promoted before we’d sunk to this level.

2. Southend are most certainly not in League 2.

3. Only Donny and Yeovil that were promoted above us have dropped to league 2. Meanwhile, pigs, udders, wolves, millers, Brentford, Bristol, preston, wigan, burton and Barnsley (10 clubs) are currently in the championship.

I’m not really sure what point you’re trying to make. Don’t go up in case we end up in league 2?

Using a collection of antique spoons that were valuable but keep getting broken so you use another because you don't want to buy a spade.

Arsenal got promoted without finishing in the top 6 , , the only team ever to do that

Wimbledon got promoted after finishing 7th just a couple of months ago.

Arsenal finished 5th in the second division when promoted in 1915.

The League was suspended for the war but, on resumption in 1919 the top flight was increased by 2 clubs. Previously when this happened the 2 teams promoted were still promoted but no teams were relegated. in 1919 they didn't relegate the team in 19th (Chelsea), mainly because at the league's AGM they had some sympathy for them as it was known that they were only relegated due to Manchester United fixing their last game of the season to avoid relegation.

However the league decided that they would relegate the team in 20th (Spurs) and inexplicably offer their place in the top flight to 5th place Arsenal due to their long service to the league - thus denying the Dingles who finished third.

In short - they didn't finish outside of the top 6 but were only promoted due to the corruption of the league and bias shown towards the bigger, richer clubs.

Hard to believe I know....

dane,

The problem is there's no financial risk I being a mouthpiece on here - we all do it - but my point was that certain people , with no genuine experience of any kind whatsoever think they are capable not only of running a football club of this size, but of running the management, coaching and contract sides as well.

As I've said, how many on here would risk their savings let alone their families inheritance in pursuit of profit in a football club. I remember WWF's proposal of a fan but out and the defeaning silence that followed it.

Pointing out the obvious failings is one thing, deluding oneself that it's easy and you could do it is another. Delusion of the highest order and no ones has been able to say that statement is wrong.

McCabe has failed miserably and its cost him dearly however wealthy he is. He just can't walk away or stop buying a season ticket or not go anymore. It's not FIFA 16 for the two owners, it's real life.

Will we still be fucking around at the last minute "working hard behind the scenes" trying to "get deals over the line" or will we for once conclude
our business by the first game?
I've got this horrible feeling that "business" might have already concluded.

His hovercraft is full of eels.

Of course no one on here could afford to own the club so it's a moot point. Plenty on here do spend a sizeable percentage of their income following the Blades.

And all this talk of inheritance. I'm sorry but if someone is worth £100m for example and the spend half of it, they've still got £50m. They're still rich. When a normal person's business fails, they lose a lot more, relatively speaking. Much like my dad did.
And his lads have been given jobs and a football club to play with. They'll still inherit a lot more than most people do.
