The unusual early cut of time of 7pm is going to de rail a number of deals. Unless one is well progressed I don't see new enquiries tomorrow morning having any traction. In any event the speed with which SUFC operate its unlikely a new left field signing will come out of nowhere. So its a question of whether Hamer is going or staying. Looking more like staying. Whether Solomon is pie in the sky and if Ben Mee wants to take up the contract offer. We may get young Matos over the line but I anticipate not much else in terms of incomings. Cooper and Burrows are safe imo although Pool may resurrect their interest in One. Could be a quiet day for us with most of the noise focusing on the managers position.

Ogbene aswell 👍 Busy day infact.

Mee is a free agent so the deadline is only relevant if we would try another CB first and then go with him if we don't get them or maybe do both

I am also interested in whether we can get some out on loan Sam Curtis was out last year think he should go again, Marsh needs game time. If we get a winger get Brooks out on loan - make or break

Brooks and One we need to keep IMO. Curtis and Marsh won't make the 20 man squad so could see them leaving.

A good end to the window might look like:

Incomings: RB, CB, DM, RW

It sounds like Matos (DM) and Ogbene (RW) are top targets.
I really hope we sign Ben Mee.
And, personally, I'd like to see a RB join to give us the option of using Godfrey differently. I don't think it'll happen, but if it did - a loan for Seriki might work.

Outgoing loans: Curtis, Polendakov, Sasnauskas, Ukaki, Marsh, Nwachukwu.
Outgoing perms: Robinson.

Vital we keep hold of Hamer and Cooper if we have ambitions of challenging.
For everybody else (that might be a realistic target), I'd listen to offers provided we have a backup plan.

I don't think it would be the worst idea to let one of Oné or Cannon out for their development.

Hopefully we'll get everything that we need through the door.

Ins:
  • Mee (can sign after window)
  • Matos (sounds like already done)
  • Winger - Solomon or Ogbene. For me Solomon would be the primary target.
  • RB - Seriously feel like one is needed regardless if that means we have 5 CB's for the 2 spots. Godfrey is solid as a classic fullback but won't be offering much on the final 3rd. That said defensive solidity is going to be needed the way things are going. In terms of who, I was hoping for Woo.

Outs:
Robbo

Doesn't look like Selles is going just yet unfortunately.

I thought it would be the usual time. We've got a flight at 7.25pm so hopefully we'll know before we take off if anyone else has gone, rather than worry all the flight that we may lose a couple more players.

Apparently Burrows may be off as well….

Now I don’t particularly rate Burrows but currently the only cover is McCallum and he’s far far worse.

If we're going to stick with 433 then we need two more wingers as we're currently playing 431.
