Will we still be fucking around at the last minute "working hard behind the scenes" trying to "get deals over the line" or will we for once conclude our business by the first game?
 



You know the answer to that one...at least we won't have to suffer the 'we've now not 4 weeks to bring loan players in ' malarkey as the loan window closed at the same time I think

do you always find it utterly necessary to go at it this way
yes Im a clapper but if we win one I dont predict winning the league
If we sign someone we hope they fit in

why always do some start from the most negative angle available
weve taken some strides in the right direction ,
theres more to come
lets see what it brings before putting the boot in
 
We're three, possibly four players short of a top end League one side and we've been like that for a few seasons. Maguire, Coady, Murphy and another creative passmeister of a midfielder and we're on course for a title challenge. Maybe our board will learn one day.........tut tut tut.

We don't half make it hard for ourselves.
 
I'm more concerned about our last minute selling.

The only person winning this year is our chairman who has cut the wage bill in half whilst bullshitting about it being a benefit to the team/fans.

How do you know he's cut the wage bill in half and how much was it to start with?

Even if we have cut it in half, we have still payed players off so that could hinder the figures somewhat. Ultimately, it's hard to tell at this stage.

Look how many players have been removed from the wage bill. Have a guess about how much they're on. About half seems about right.

If it's a guess fair enough but you didn't say that. As Wizadry says, we don't know yet and in any event even when the accounts come out we won't know because we won't be aware of the fallout from previous seasons.

I don't doubt the aim is to cut the existing squad wage bill but that's not the same thing as saying it's been cut in half, especially when we don't know last seasons figure.

It's like they don't remember all the promotions we've w.....

It's like they don't remember all the cup finals we've played i.....

could name 70 odd other clubs in similar straits , bet they all have a little hope
ps its only 10 years since we won a promotion , your memories bad

some fans go to extremes
a report on the offer we made for leon clarke said it was a 5 figure sum
why did he pick the lowest ammount and say we offered 10000
five figures range from 10000 to 99999, why insult the club by saying it was the lowest possible
its not clever being that sarcastic, and totally unrealistic
might have been 80k might have been 50k , but never 10

BTL "Only"? Surely you can't be happy we've not been promoted in that time? To me, it's pretty damning for a club of our relative size.

I dare say theres plenty of clubs not won a promotion in the last 10 years

arsenal and everton have only ever had 1 promotion
mind you theyve only had 1 relegation
Arsenal got promoted without finishing in the top 6 , , the only team ever to do that

Anybody who likes to bitch and moan about our fans, just read that please.

Years of failure in League fucking One and some like to make out our fans are absolute bastards for criticising anything the club does! 'Must be the worst in the country' etc etc. It's incredibly bizarre.

We still need at least four signings - CB, CM, LM, CF. I can absolutely guarantee we won't have signed all of those by deadline day. Even if we sell Adams well before. We like to leave ourselves short, we've done it every single season.

some teams promoted above us are now in league 2 luton colchester yeovil blackpool southend doncaster won 2 promotions , now in league 2
and it only took leicester 8 years to win the prem
so there's no guarantees where you can go

theres criticism and then theres constant levels of abuse and whining
yes none of us want to be here
but some have decided that kicking the club in every way possible while its down will magic us up
Extremes need curbing , clappers not getting too giddy
and moaners just cutting back , a tad on the incessant negativity

we have no divine right because we get 20k to be higher
we live in englands 4th biggest city outside london
and have 600000 people to go at
percentage wise we actually get smaller gates than some towns of 100000

Our fans are the equal of any in the country,
considering our honours list , better than most
Rochdale fans think being in league one is like champions league
weve had better , but we have to earn it
