Youngsters out on loan

Suspect el Accounto has watched him as much as most people on here...never. Yet talks with the authority of a seasoned football professional. Impressive.

I did wonder if Châteauroux would have been a welcome loan. He’s got a bit of mixed background. You often see North Africans come over to France, Algeria, Tunisia etc, but he seems to have a US passport too, so not sure if he is an easy move or not.

Why would we send a kid out to the French third division when we are trying to get him to be a professional in England other than his families history?!

Because he’s got a good chance of playing regularly in men’s football and we can keep an eye on him through United World links.

6th tier of English football hasn’t brought him on by the sounds of it. Maybe he can advance going down a different angle?

I think you overestimate the United world set up, ability and suitability for this type of thing. Broadbrent and Seriki failures have stopped us wasting kids time.

With those two though they were poor placements.

As a RWB, Seriki had very little chance to play. Beerschot already had two senior players in that spot. Had he been left footed then there was a chance at LWB.

Not sure Broadbent was needed there either.

Playing 4-3-3 as they do, there is a place for Ayari in the Chateauroux forward line. He'd get games.

No point sending anyone out for the sake of it unless the receiving club has a need for them.

Broadbent and Seriki were never at Beerschott's level. Seriki is currently sat on Rochdale's bench whilst Broadbent has found himself at Boreham Wood. They were never likely to break into the XI in Belgium if that's their current ability.

True. It seemed odd to loan to a club who was in the top flight and hoping to get into Europe that first season up there.

Ironic as they might have had a chance this season.

But whoever suggested it didn't appreciate the need of Beerschot, the level of the Belgium top flight or the capabilities of the players.

Other than that, can't fault it 🤦‍♂️

Brunt scored for Borehamwood last night. Seriki got a few minutes off the bench after starting the last couple for Rochdale. Harrison Neal was subbed off, hopefully not an injury. Boyes did the full game. Depending on fitness of players between now and the JTW, there may be an argument for bringing Boyes back to strengthen the LWB position.

From what I've read, Ayari has barely played at Scarborough so the loan is transpiring to be not good for his development.
Better to be getting games with our 23s than on the bench in the National League.

It's a shame Boyes picked up an injury in pre-season as I think he was in a good position to really progress this season given his excellent form last year. I think that injury means he probably stays at Forest Green until next summer. You'd like to think Lowe or RND will be nearing a return by January anyway.

To be fair for Seriki he's played in 14 of Rochdales 15 league games with 12 of them being starts.

A friend of mine is a ST holder at Dale and he says he's a bit of a headless chicken. It's the last few games he seems to have been relegated to the bench. They also have Sam Graham who he believes might be one of the worst professional footballers in the country :D

Did he like Broadbent? EEL and White are there aswell.

Without wishing to get a label similar to el Accounto....having only seen a couple of these lads play on Sky TV...it seems Neal is the closest to a proper break through out of those who havent been in and around the first team.

Our Southend friend had nothing but praise for him last year and he's moved up a division and seems to be making a similar impression. Still a long way to go but fingers crossed.

Talking about youngsters, whatever happened to Hackford ?

None of the loanees did a full 90 this weekend. Boyes off at 68, appears tactical. Likewise, Neal on 56. Seriki remained on the bench. Brunt was subbed on 62 and Broadbent on 75. Osula replaced Didsy on 71.

Hardly a "youngster", but Jake Eastwood hasn't had a League appearance for Ross County yet.
