Happy with the ins and the cover we now have but definitely need to address the goalkeeping and attacking positions in the summer.

Actually expected more outs and some permanently leaving with CW wanting to trim the squad as only youngsters have left..

Yeah solid weird balance to the squad now we have like 10 CMs, but should see us through to the end nicely.

In terms of to get us through the season with enough quality bodies then it's an 7.5/10

Long term planning wise would be like a 2/10

However, I guess the long term planning can be reevaluated in the summer

Bamford extending is more crucial than the other 4 ins. Jairo as well (albeit a few weeks before Jan). Add them two to the list and its looks good. Added bonus in the outs list is that some lads who need to go out have got the chance.

I think it's turned out as well as we could have hoped for. We've certainly covered all the outfield weaknesses, depending on the fitness of the newcomers.
I would have liked us to have got it a better keeper and maybe sent Adam Davies out on loan.

Would have liked a strong forward as Bamford cover, apart from that it looks good paper, need to see how they play before giving a final verdict.

Bamford and Riedewald extensions fantastic.

Hoever and Hjelde hopefully should barely play, but it’s hard not to feel like it’s useless expenditure.

Phillips is past it and even if he’s decent we’re covered in that position, and he’ll be on a fair whack, presumably. Especially given our inevitable mid table fate this season.

Rothwell is fine but nowt special. Hard to see where someone on his wages and a fee fits in a team with Riedewald, Peck, Arblaster, Hamer, O’Hare and with Davies and Phillips also around.

The outgoings are good (especially Oné getting some football) but you can’t help but feel there’s a lot more deadwood to shift.

7/10: would have liked a reserve GK, a winger and maybe another CB but happy enough.

Got cover/competition in positions where it was needed, RB and for Riedewald at CM, but also let down by the McCallum injury which forced us into going after a LB who can also cover CB, but I don't know anything about Hjelde so I can't comment on him.

Rothwell and Phillips are solid experienced pros for this level, and Phillips (who is fit according to Sky) on his day is one of the best players in the championship.

Plus Rothwell is the sort of midfielder that Peck and Arblaster can learn a lot from.

Good ins overall (including Pat & Jairo). Lots of experience in Phillips and Rothwell, good for the young lads to learn from, opposition might shit themselves at the prospect of facing that midfield and enough experience to manage games and see out wins. Maybe even win the play offs finally!!

Pleased with Rothwell on a permanent. Got decent cover at the full back positions. One concern would be Phillips being rusty or lacking match fitness but if he’s as good as he was 4-5 years ago that’s a great signing.

This window we just needed to let Wilder do his thing. Pleased that the board have backed him. Going forward we need to move beyond just signing guys he knows. Not holding my breath for that, though.

2 marks for phillips 1 mark for Rothwell, 1 mark for getting rid of some people that should have never been here in the 1st place. (Albeit temporary riddance in most cases)

No gk cover, no defenders of true championship quality, also would have liked to see us get some proper cover for Brooks and Hamer. Would have been OK with letting Campbell go to bring in better also, perhaps we will in the summer.

As ever, far too early to tell.

Although I am amused by the fact that, having gone out of our way this season to collect midfielders with poor to non-existent goalscoring records, we've gone out and signed two more!

(perhaps a bit harsh on Rothwell)

All of a sudden you have a midfield you can trust and know how to fall back on.

Also with hopefully Riedewald fit soon and Phillips, we can really get the best out of Gus.

It also means we can scale back hopefully on rushing back Arblaster.

Pretty decent though it’s more going for it still than I expected.

We can expect to have the best XI in almost all the remaining games if these stay fit. Just a question of whether they can gel.
