Really? I think he’s coming in for right back given you’ve got one loan player who will play at centre half and we’re clearly trying to sign at least one if not two more.
What’s your back four with Godfrey at CH?

I would have expected Godfrey to come in as the guy to start at RB with Seriki coming on to really take the game to the opposition but find it surprising that he has taken the number 5 shirt leaving the number 2 vacant

Agreed from the highlights I think that LB/RB versatility could be a major plus. Given how burrows has started the season.

I’d assumed it was Godfrey for RB and JT (if he signs) for the middle.

Perhaps we might revert to a back three - with wingbacks? Not sure is Selles has ever tried this but it to me might seem to solve some of our glaring issues (lack of actual wingers, some defensive cover, burrows being off the book, a system some of the squad are familiar with.)

I think we’d need to add a central midfielder and probably another striker considering Cannon is even worse than first feared but we’d be a lot closer to a solid three back XI & squad than we would be as a 4-3-3. Would allow Brooks and Barry as impact subs rather than having only strikers to come on or being forced to watch Cannon start on the right again.
