There's certain mistakes a player makes where it shows they aren't good enough, there's others where you think it's beneath them.

The goal felt was the latter. Even if he's not up to Premier League standards in the end, he's still better than that. The mistakes I've seen Larouci make have been poor decision making rather than lack of ability. There was one in the first half where he was comfortable to win the ball and then decided to make a soft touch and lost it. He goes in strong then he wins it every time. The big one he had three options: shield it out, put it into touch, hit it down the line, and he decided to pick option four; fanny about.

I'm a bit worried we don't have the luxury of bedding him in and building him up when we need players right now but I'm not about to rip him apart.

Apart from the mistake for their goal I thought he did well. I like how positive he is in that he’s always looking to get the ball down and actually play.

Obviously the mistake was a big one but it happens and he’ll hopefully learn from it.

I should also point out that Kyle Walker made a similar error which lead to our goal and he’s one of the best fullbacks in the world.

I don’t base this on the extremely poor decision to try and shepard the ball out of play. My opinion of him so far is he is poor technically, poor positional sense, poor decision making, poor defensively as a whole. Shows little glimmers of being competent going forward.

The clue is, Bosbourne was preferred ahead of him today. That's a clear measure of his current situation. He may come good (there are glimpses when he's in the oppo half) but he's clearly not ready yet.

A lot of players have come in over the last few years and struggled to transition from full back to wing back.

Thinking back I’m fairly sure Stevens, Lafferty, Bogle, Norrington-Davied, Johnson, Lowe, Hussey and even Baldock looked bad postionally at first. Some got better and some obviously didn’t, but it’s rare we ever bring a wing back in who hits the ground running.

The error today was bad but more so positionally he looked all over the place at times and didn’t know whether to engage Walker or back off, often ending up getting caught in two minds and doing neither.

He’s not got the luxury of the others in the sense that he has to try and adapt in the Premier League rather than the Championship or League One. He clearly has a lot of work to do but he’s played probably 75% of his minutes for us so far against the best side in the world. Let’s judge him in a few games time.

Get real we were playing Manchester City probably the best team in the world at the moment with a wingback with incredible speed and strength. He made a mistake, should have put it in Jon Street. I’ll judge him on if he learnt from it

He was trying to shield it out but fell over. Ridiculous error, but had he won the throw in then good. Even if he'd put it in row z City would have had a throw, in a dangerous position. There is no guarantee that they wouldn't have scored but granted it was an error of judgement. Everton is a must win game. Even if we'd drawn today and got a draw at Forest Everton would still be a must win game.

In all honesty several players made mistakes after about 60 minutes .we tired and mistakes arrived ,though we didn't get punished so easy to forget.

There does become a point when you can't make excuses any more and it becomes reasonable to say that player isn't great.

He’s played a couple of half games ffs, at what point did he reach the rubicon and get slung on the scrap heap?

I was never keen on RND then he settled, worked and now we desperately miss him. A new player is a process for the likes of SUFC and always will be until we can shell £50+ on a ready to go player.

He looks better than he did pre-season but that today was the basics and it cost us a point.

That’s exactly what I thought, but that's naive of him, if he’d cleared his lines or put the ball out for a throw it wouldn’t have happened, not sure why he took a risk under the circumstances.

I wasn't asking George to put a challenge on Grealish. Throughout the whole match (and at Wembley) George had shown discipline and concentration to 'stand' on Grealish's left foot. Grealish is quite ineffective with his right. One lapse and Grealsih finds himself at the bye line with the ball on his left foot.

Could more have been done by our centre backs against Haaland? That's another question.

For me that is the sad thing. Even with an awful mistake that cost the point and a second half where he was bollocked by Egan and Robinson regarding his positioning, he is still better than Lowe! We’re doomed I tell ye.
