Im expecting us to not sign him, or sign someone that can play in a flat 3?

I agree somewhat but it's not always one size fits all, you need a variety of players to be able to adapt to different game scenarios.

How do you know he can’t play in that flat 3, he doesn’t get selected (bar early on in the season when Fleck was injured for a game or two)

And thats his fault, how?

Im not blaming him personally!

He cost £6m and we have not used him and he hasn’t contributed when he’s come on. You cannot rate a signing that doesn’t fit our system and hasn’t had a great effect on the pitch as a positive one can you?

It’s not me that doesn’t select him it’s CW who doesn’t select him. He would rather play Lunny LCM than him eg AV on Wednesday ...

Budget will be tight and we need to cover a lot of positions.

Let’s give the strikers some proper service then judge them eh?

How do you do that in our system? We focus on being tight and restrictive.

You've just been given two examples from the limited game time he's had, where he's been influential in the game. You can't rate a player when he's being played out of position consistently. However when a player is still showing quality despite being played out of position, I'd say that says a lot more about the player you've signed.

Yes, and we were fucking wank. Sometimes your face doesn’t fit; but let’s not pretend he’s not done anything when called upon because it’d not be true.

Reverting to the system we used with a CAM

Then we lose the defensive shape. McBurnie has had many chances this season (not today because he couldn't be arsed to move) and fluffed them. He's very unfit, very weak and for me is not that arsed. Sharp today missed a sitter so chances do come along.

0 assists 0 goals ....

He’s not getting selected as the greatest manager of all time doesn’t rate him highly enough to start him. Are you thick?
The manager who signed him, yes. So what actually is your point?

David McGoldrick 2 Assists 0 Goals in 22 games.

He's shit an all isnt he?
Chris Wilder keeps selecting him so obviously he rates him as does everyone. But he doesn’t pick Freeman....

We don’t lose the defensive shape at all as long as said CAM slots in to make it a 3 when we’re defending as Duffy often did

‘Chances do come along’ there’s been 1 in 2 games. Not a meaningful shot on target. We’ve been piss poor so I’m not hanging the strikers out to dry.

okay a £6m player who has 0 goals 0 assists and never starts is a good signing. You’ve been drinking too much this afternoon
Please show me anywhere where I have said he’s been a good signing?

He keeps selecting Berge and playing him out of position, does that make him a good signing from what you've seen so far?

Bearing in mind youve seen more of him than Freeman despite making far less of an impact thus far?

Berge is struggling it seems. But CW obviously sees more in Berge than he does Freeman or Freeman would have started on Wednesday ahead of Berge.....

That is not how it works with the CAM no matter how he tracks back and surely you must notice the difference?

Strikers need to do more for themselves and the only one that has done that this season is Moose and he can't get a look in.

I trust the two midfielders and 5 defenders to be able to handle most breakaways when we’re caught upfield.

We weren’t exactly slotted often in the past 3 seasons playing that formation were we? It’s hardly gung ho.

Like it or not the type of striker you want us to buy would be 20m plus, x2. Not gonna happen.

My point has always been it’s a poor signing, you decided to become involved. I was confused why also.
No, you were making out he’s had no impact when he’s come on. I simply corrected you because he has.
