Wilder OUT - megathread

All advertisments are hidden for logged in members, why not log in/register?

Probably the least of our concerns right now is Wilder, if we end up in some sort of worst case scenario with the EFL and ownership fuckiwttery then we will need him to try and keep the ship afloat.

Tell your boss to fuck off and they’ll give you 5 mins (if you’re lucky) to grab your stuff on the way out. If he loves the club like he says (like I believe he does) he’ll stay where he can actually effect things and try and help us. It’s a childish view to suggest he should tell the owners to do one, that would be a cowards way out
 
Read the room, mate.

We’re in difficult circumstances financially managing a decreasing budget.

Yesterday despite it being cagey and a more defensive oriented and disciplined performance, we had 3x the XG of the home team.

A point away against a team that beat a heavily invested Stoke team the prior week.

Pick your moments to have a moan but taking a point at Swansea, in a game we lost at a similar stage last season, isn’t one of them IMHO.

Yes, if there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that when you're in an incredibly sticky situation, the best course of action is always to sack the person best able to deal with it, and replace him with a complete noob who'll be in over his head through no fault of his own, and then sit and watch as everything comes crashing down. Works every time.

Or was until this past week
At this time we are lucky to have him
He will make bizarre selections tactics etc but if anyone can keep us afloat and steer us through this period ( which is most likely going to get worse) it’s him
Just hope he’s not kept a back door key
 
Fair point fella, however I wouldn’t have thought 6ft Lower for Simonsen’s penalty would have been enough,
Tim Peake said it was still rising in 2015 and I don’t think it came back down to earth until after lockdown…..

Yes the defeat to Huddersfield was entirely due to simonsen missing the 11th penalty, despite him keeping a clean sheet in the game and saving 2 of the first 3 penalties, which meant Huddersfield scored 0 out of 3 , no one else was to blame in a penalty shootout we didn't win despite the opponents not scoring any of the first 3

And I was sat in the baking sun at Wembley fir well over 2 hours so I know what happened

Me too and it really annoys me when 95% of our fanbase blame simonsen for the defeat just because he wasn't as popular as some of the players who were actually at fault
 
2 weeks ago I would happily have seen wilder leave

However knowing the shit we’re in now, we need someone who can works the frees market and create a trench mentality

Pick the right general, for the right battle
