Said the same on a different thread. He’d be my man to get in who I think we could realistically get in. We’ve got to change and give the new manager the chance to improve us with the international break coming up
Or don't rush the appointment and use the 3 weeks to allow people to apply and actually take our time in getting the appointment right this time.

Right and then who takes over in the interim?

If you don't replace fast, you just coast with thr current tactics and they're god awful

We should’ve been doing that for the last 2/3 weeks… should already have filtered 3 serious candidates to bring in and give whoever we choose the time to implement some sort of plan.

If it goes beyond the 3 week break to an actual game then Phil Jones or Micky Collins. Certificate not Paul Heckingbottom or panic signing any old manager just to "stabilise" things.

So again - the plan is to sack him and just play the same tactics without him there, just because you're worried about rushing the appointment?

i wouldnt be adverse to rob edwards coming in but time is up for wilder todays performance was awful couldnt string 3 passes together and some of the passing to stoke players and idiotic brain dead challenges was laughable if it wasnt heartbreaking our fans have given up as well poor home crowds and even worse away last 2 we took 3k last season to stoke cant have been more than 1k there today

time for a change lads, he cant make the subs happen when they should be, only after we concede, we sit way too deep after we go ahead, same old, same old for weeks. He has done great for us but its time for a change or we could be looking down the barrel

Even if it's Jones, surely a fresh perspective will be enough.

He's got to be able to see that RND, Ayew, Doherty and BBD are finished. He's got to be able to see that Arblaster is only a bench filler, that we are one injury to Cooper away from relegation, that ONLY Seriki can play as a wing-back, and that we cannot sit back and defend a lead with this defence.

Anything is better than carrying on with Wilder and the negativity that he is spreading throughout the club and fanbase.

Surely?

Who says Jones or Collins would play the same tactics or formation? Perhaps they might see the problem and do something about it? I only suggested that they took temporary charge for a couple of games if we hadn't appointed a replacement by the end of the international break.

What's the benefit in rushing the appointment?

So you'd rather take the chances that they don't play the same tactics and get it right over going and paying an Edwards or a Parker who have proven track records, just because you don't want to rush?

Tactical changes to address stoke equalising, cannon, Chong, dogger! Brought Donavon on with minutes to go. Stubborn, out of ideas and in the modern game inept.

Oh and Phillips goal was I believe the only real shot on goal we had today. Shit.
And let's be honest their keeper should have saved the Philips shot

Few more games and the poll will be majority out
They're not gonna sack him. The last time they did certain sections of the fanbase went into absolute meltdown and stamped their feet until he came back. They'll be terrified of the same response.
except this time we haven’t narrowly lost a play-off final but have lost to Fleetwood and Stoke in the span of a few days

Why are you so keen that they do rush it?

What's wrong with having a caretaker manager for one or two games while we make sure that we get the appointment right 100%, or are you obsessed with winning?

What happens if we do rush it and appoint Edwards or Parker and they lose their first two games? How is that any worse than us losing those games with a caretaker in charge?
