Yes, me too. They are two entirely different games, aren't they (at the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, you can handle the ball in cricket). The slower pace of the summer game lends itself to a more cerebral appreciation.
The cricket following public has changed a good deal though, and not for the better in some ways. One of our own regular correspondents adopts a fervent, football-like approach to his cricket watching that is totally alien to me.
