Weston Park Collection Tomorrow

Before tomorrow's game and at half time there will be a number of us collecting on behalf of Weston Park Hospital..

All of us will know/have known someone with Cancer so please give generously! If you pay £3 for a pint and a further £2 for a pie, surely this worthy cause is worth at least the same contribution.

I know from experience that hearing the dreaded C word is devastating, but knowing that there is somewhere like Weston Park can make a huge difference!

I was treated at Weston Park under Professor Barry Hancock (a truly great man) some 30 years ago & still here to shout about it, so it would be nice if I could make a direct donation if possible as I cannot be there tomorrow.

Many thanks to all those who contributed today, it was much appreciated.

Sadly the vast majority walked on by! Most of the giving was by the over 50's, obviously those who have friends/neighbours who have been affected by cancer, or who are aware of their own mortality!

We would all want the best for our loved ones should we be unfortunate enough to find the disease affecting those close to us, & the best costs.

On a brighter note 3 points was a good outcome on a horrible day.

Sorry mate but how do you know that?
We went to the club shop and there was collectors everywhere but we walked past those. We always intended to donate on John St where we entered the ground but when we got there there was no collectors, we walked back up to the BL junction to donate.
If you have just donated surely you will walk past the next collector 25 yards away? Think you are doing some of us a dis-service.
