The game in the premier the ref gave them the goal when the ball hit him and went to a city player. He should have stopped play and give United possession back. When we played them at Etihad in our crap premier league season, we lost 1-0 and had about 10% possession, but we did have a half sniff of a chance late on.
This is not going to be a fun watch, or expansive football, but we need to play like we did then. Men behind the ball, keep it tight, hope for a chance on the break late on.
Is this guaranteed to work? Of course not, we’ve virtually no chance of winning, but it’s probably our best chance - Burnley tried to play them at their own game, and looked decent for half an hour to be fair…then lost 6-0. This is Burnley we’re talking about, the team that’s lost 2 all season and hasn’t lost since we beat them in November.
I wasn’t actually thinking about that one, we actually played well in that game. The game in the premier the ref gave them the goal when the ball hit him and went to a city player. He should have stopped play and give United possession back.

If you did they would beat us in extra time. Which would be classed as a draw and you’d be gutted. So we should put 1k on City then?
Worth losing a grand for I'd say
Would be a big upset, but nowhere near the biggest. It‘s not a zero chance of beating City there is no such thing in football.
It’s about 0.3 % of a chance, that is not being negative it’s realistic, on current form they are probably the best team on the planet at the moment.
Put it this way it would be the biggest upset in the history of the competition if we pulled it off, it would dwarf Sunderland beating Leeds in the 1973 final.
Would be a big upset, but nowhere near the biggest.
Look at some of the non league sides who upset the odds, against teams 3 or 4 leagues higher.
I'm not doubting it would be a big upset. The biggest upset of all time, not a chance. Not on a neutral venue.
