Was Basham as good as he sounded?

Firstly, great effort from the fans. Sod all the knockers claiming we should have sold out weeks ago- it's tough being a blade at times, and taking that many to Barnsley fantastic.
Really proud of us today we sounded like we really did a job on them. I've been working today so wasn't able to go but I've one question for you...
Was basham the colossus he sounded on the radio!?
 



Seems he's finally in the kind of form to do what we bought him for.
It's great having a player so versatile but I'd really like to see him in the veira role in the center of the park for a run of games
 
He's our Fellaini... started the season slow and struggled to tie down a specific position but now coming into his own and the team are starting to play better too.

How's brayford doing?
It's really annoying that brayford and basham have been played out of position for so long just because of the butler/Collins situation

The BBC article says it all

As soon as I saw Kennedy on the teamsheet I just wondered; and then it happened. Great day.

Avoid MKD at Wembley I hope. Any other permutation could work out.

Starting to think about it again all of a sudden. KTF? To be honest it was only flickering and there's still loads to do obviously. At least we have a day to celebrate and things look a whole lot better now we're over this game.
 
Team really got together today makes you wonder why we worried so much lets enjoy today and then think about tuesday

Well said. Plaudits for a player you don't rate and no agenda nonsense. Coutts really could be a big player for us when he's fully fit. If he can get back to his time as captain of Preston in the Championship we have a quality player. Time will tell..

P.S. I praised Monty once......

I've tried to shoehorn into a few of my posts that I haven't wrtten him off for the future, but objectively I've found his perfomances well short, and I wouldn't have stuck with him at this late stage. Let's hope today is a sign of things to come.:)

Two six-footers in midfield as well. Way to Go, as they say...

Holty seems to have the goal habit about him. Might be worth a contract?

Not sure about Holt yet fella, either way. But the goals are definitely a help.
I'm not sure he brings anything more than Scougall, but there's still time to see.

Just one in Game 1, just you - nothing wrong with that. I think you're wrong, I've never seen a more unlikely looking captain. To me he looks uncomfortable in most situations, nothing wrong with thinking that, it's what Clough thinks that matters - he might have even promised it to him to get him here, nothing wrong with that as long as he is big enough and good enough. Basham looks like the sort of player who needs reassurance every hand and turn, nothing wrong with that either unless you are a captain.
 
Holt is the type of player we've missed all season. Gets in the right areas but has good technique so makes the most of his chances, much like coady. No brainer to offer him a contract for me. Couldn't ask much more of him.

No I'm not. That's why I posed the question. He disappears a bit too much. On the other hand, three in three...

Delighted we played so well today. A reward for the travelling thousands making all the noise...:)

Actually I think it might have been two or three times.

Coutts was a quality player at Derby - one of the first names on the team sheet there. Like many who've suffered from a serious injury, he's struggled to get back to where he was and whilst he's there physically [as I understand] the problem is more 'upstairs'. Great game today so let's hope he can build on it and push on.

He's definitely NCs replacement for Doyle so let's hope he can get back to where he was - be a huge boost for us if he can.
