... today's result has finally put to bed any hopes of a sneak into the playoffs. We aren't good enough, certainly nowhere near last season's moderate resilience and still suffering from a takeover and sell/recruit scheme that beggars belief. Wilder has done what he can but the loanees won't be hanging about now and we'll possibly now lose Brooks, Hamer, Peck and a few more we could do with being about the club. Another rebuild beckons and the only way it will work is if either this seemingly clueless set of owners dig deep with contracts or we can recruit and pay commensurate players that fit our profile. Season is gone, it's been gone for months and we need to accept it and move on, glad that Wednesday aren't up where Wrexham are and are effectively finished as a football club for a decade or so. If we aren't lucky though, that fate beckons us too. A Chanseri moment could happen to us quite easily.

Today we were characteristically wasteful, and could have been 4 up at half time. I think Wrexham knew that too and couldn't believe how poor we were in front of goal. Had a feeling we'd lose it even when Brooksy put us one up. The first goal was Laurel and Hardy stuff, the Dance of the Cuckoos music started playing when we again coughed up possession cheaply and the second one was post substitutes, and Wrexham passing out of their defence into a totally empty midfield for them to run up the pitch unmolested. From that moment on, you knew we were in trouble.

It's never 'not' frustrating being a Sheff Utd fan, but you'd just love us one season to be damned tough to beat and a team that dispossesses, presses forward and scores with swaggering arrogance just the once, instead of watching matches and thinking 'we might lose this'.

I watched the Wrexham feed for the first half and their commentator sounded like he needed to huck up a wheelbarrow load of lung butter in one of them coughs that last a decent five, eye-watering minutes but end up with a spat out grolly you could see from the orbiting ISS. Fortunately Radio Sheffield was available for the second half.

2 up front, why O why not? Brookes, Hamer & O Hare is a recipe for us disappearing from the game after 65 minutes.

Beginning to think League 1 might have been the better option if this is what we can expect next year, it would have precipitated a massive clear out.

Not sure where our next point is coming from, because this really is garbage. But for 2 fortunate wins at Portsmouth & QPR we would be in BIG trouble. I look at Norwich, they were terrible, they made a change & are flying. We made a change, had a purple patch of about 10 games, & are now as bad as we were in October.

Unless CW comes out with some realistic points and comments, instead of the usual excuses, then I am ready for a change. He cannot get a tune out of them, & I am losing confidence for the future. No post match on BBC website from him, only from Parkinson.

Your glad?

Didn't even read the rest. Even if we were shite and somehow fluked into the premier league I wouldn't be upset?

Yet some are glad we aren't that? Bizarre

I think we need to refocus the rest of the season with running a book on who will get the next red card.
I don't think we can include CW as it is likely hecwould be quoted as evens.
For my money I fancy it could be Hamer, a decent bet say 10 to 1, probably trying to get himself on the transfer lis,t.
