I thought the only times Coventry looked dangerous was when Collins had the ball
We provided all their decent chances .anf if we can eradicate these .by shipping out Collins to Maltby miners welfare fc we will continue to improve. If Colins could pass to our forwards in a game as much as he found Coventrys hed be world class
Harry tibbins, full time butcher and part time manager of Maltby Miners welfare fc here. Fuck off.

Do you reckon if Clough had played Collins and Butler we would have gone down ?

Quite modern. I understand that's because the Germans flattened it in the war in the belief the Spitfire engine crank shaft was produced there. Whereas it was being produced at Neepsend in Sheffield.
I think you will find Spitfire crankshafts were made at Shardlows down Wincobank & Blackburn who had the only hammer in the country capable of doing the forging at the start of WW2, it was still shaking the ground night and day when I left Wincobank in the late 70's.

So you ver a spy mb?

I am ex wincobank (Newman Road) when we were first married. Could hear the hammer when I was laid in bed, quite soothing

Apart from a couple of mistakes (that didn't cost us) I though Collins did quite well actually. Won a lot of headers when Cov went long near to the end. I thought the back 4 were quite solid in fact.
You cannot expect players of their ability to never make a mistake within 90 mins - otherwise they would be playing a division higher.

Having said that I would keep just the Beard and Edgar from that back 5 and strengthen in Jan.

Hopefully something like this come the end of the Jan transfer window.

Long (getting better and better)

Beard Edgar Burn Harris

Flynn Hammond Morsi Adams

Done Sharp

Yeah I couldn't sleep elsewhere without the background noise of Shardlow's hammer and the trains going past across Barrow Rd

They are awful….probably the most overrated overpaid players in the league. I wouldn’t swap one of our players for theirs. They won’t finish top 6!
amen

i think you all mean Rolls Royce Merlin crankshafts.. also used in the Lancasters and Hurricanes
pretty astonishing tactical error by the Germans that they didn't bomb Sheffield into the stone age. they left that to Thatcher instead
