It was no goal as the referee/linesman didn't flag it as one but the reply I've seen shows the ball was in.

You've obviously got some private replay as none of the ones I've seen show anything definitive, even Birtles admitted you couldn't be sure all of the ball crossed the line.

We didn't test their keeper at all who looked terrible. We were lucky beyond belief today. All this we deserved this that and the other is nonsense. We deserved to lose,that's all we deserved.

I don't think they said you were lying, just questioning how you can be so sure (I'm not sure the angle of the cameras can prove anything either way but suspect it was just over). They probably were being over the top in their language/attitude though.

Either way not something Blades should be arguing about too much on a day where we can all agree we had some luck but still managed to get a great result. Lots to be collectively happy about at least!
