Seems we have a £50 million tag on an upto, date mostly modern football stadium, state of the art Academy Centre, a four star hotel and prime city centre site. Yet the Pigs value a ramshackle bucket of rust in the middle of nowgere at £60 million. Something not right here.

I think they are trying to claim it's antique value, as it is an unchanged relic from years ago, either that or the value of rust is at an all time high?

Does that mean KM is guaranteed to walk away with at least 55 million or is it negotiable.

But, but they have a PARK next door to them.

You forgot to mention that it is also on land known to be vulnerable to flooding

Surely the Pork wouldn’t do anything remotely devious or underhanded?

Once a boating lake. Now a tuna farm with its own processing plant!

Good luck selling that pile of rust for any more than £25

"Something not right here" and the words Pigs, Owls and Hillsborough go together naturally, thought that was normal.

We will have that thrown at us now...."shows our ground is better cost its worth 10m more than all your assets put together".

There are two differing objectives to the valuations though. So don't take things too literally.

The prince bought 50% of the Club for £1. Making the full value £2, whereas the pigs were valued by Chansiri at £100 Million based on the amount of money he's invested in them and wants back. It proves of course that Chansiri is in it for a return on his investment and not just to see their club succeed.

McCabe removed the Assets from the club to make investment in Sheffield United much more attractive, i.e cheaper.

Of course the value of 50% of the shares was £1 but the ISA set out the levels of investment from the Prince in the first two years £10 Million.

As was repeated throughout the High Court Judgement notes, McCabe had stated that he was willing to do a deal on the assets which was fair and this is something that he should also be commended for. He was willing to do this of course with someone he trusted and with the funds to take the club forward as this allowed investment into the team.

Interestingly, if the prince were to sell in 2020 when he has hopefully obtained all of the assets and we stay up then the value of the club will be significantly different. According to Kieran Maguire, from the 'Price of football' twitter account, Average values for the non top six clubs in the premier league is £275Million.

As i said elsewhere, McCabe will have obviously lost out on the investment which he has made, but if the prince can buy the entire club and all of its assets for total investments over the 7 year period since 2013 for a total outlay of £80 Million, then its an extremely good deal for him and ultimately for the club.

Chansiri has been quite smart in some respects. As a businessman owner of a club, it now means that he is able to charge the club rent and take money out of the club.

If he intends to sell the club, he can now do this, like United without the heavy burden of the Ground bumping the price up.

He's potentially shot himself in the foot because the £100 Million value that he himself put on the club and its assets (from what i understand at the time), then that value has now dropped to just £40 Million. Still £30 Million more than our club value, so the pig fans can continue wetting themselves, but significantly less than he's apparently put into the club. All because he has falsely valued the ground at £60 Million to circumvent the FFP rules.

The danger is that if he sells and the new owner doesn't have deep pockets or perhaps sees an opportunity to develop a new ground, then Wednesday will be moving to an out of town new stadium.

They can talk up values of grounds and clubs all they want.
