It's all football, whether it's men or women playing it,it's Football.

bang on

season ticket holder and that’s one of the best experiences I’ve had at the lane

West Ham & Man Utd at home, the L1 promotion season, Ipswich at home (champ promotion)

and then tonight is right up there with those

Also went triple point after, young lad got Jill Scott’s shirt

I absolutely fucking love the fact that there are gonna be young boys who come away from tonight (and other games recently) feeling the same way about certain England womens players as I felt about Beckham when I was a kid

Special stuff, and this is why they play

The mens game could learn a few things from the womens game.

1) Lack of diving
2) No fake “fake man” squaring up after tackles
3) No abuse of the referee
4) Fans mixing together

This is why I love the womens game, they play because they love the game

Look at Leah Williamson tonight - wow, and Ellen White & Fran Kirby getting back to defend, the effort levels… all over the park… they are spectacular

Just back from the Lane and I have to say...wow!

I've took more interest in the women's game in recent years after not being too engaged previously but I never thought I'd come away from a women's game at the Lane feeling this way.

Not just a great win in a huge game but some sublime football at rimes in a fantastic atmosphere.

And the cherry on top, a player at the heart of the defence who's Grandad used to take me fishing.

From what I’ve read elsewhere we have met a long list of criteria set out by EUFA to meet the standards required to hold matches at Bramall Lane. There has been no problem with the press area from what I can see. Sounds like a self entitled southern prick coming to the frozen north late in the game and expecting everyone to fawn over them because they come from ‘that there London.’
That's for Muscat! 🤣

I've just listening to Sky Sports News and the news reader said "England will be playing either Germany or France on Sunday at the "home of football"

The true "home of football" is actually Sheffield not London.
So the media people should be telling the world that "football has already come home and won 4-0 in the home of football.
I've found a link below where this fact is actually mentioned in a South Wales paper...but what about our London based media outlets?

All this focus on the men's game, United have played a blinder.

Always you hear talk of having a bigger ground to host a major tournament.

THIS is and has been a major tournament.

It is a possibility that England may not even host a major tournament in our lifetimes. You'd hope not but with so many Nations embracing the world game the candidates for possible venues is ever increasing.

Which is why I think United should be applauded for this Carpe Diem moment. We've recognised this as something major and by the looks done a fabulous job of hosting it.

Those England players, those England fans will forever remember Bramall Lane 2022. A comprehensive 4-0 win on such a stage on home soil, reminiscent of the men beating the Dutch so heavily in Euro 96.

The atmosphere makes your hair stand on end. Yes they will enjoy the final hopefully but I'm not convinced that Wembley will have the same atmosphere as a close to the pitch feeling as tonight.

Well done all those associated. No waiting for a big day, a big tournament. They acknowledged this is one, treated it as such and have all the memoriew, accolades and attendance records to prove it.

After a few years of mild interest in Women's football, I can honestly say I've really enjoyed watching the Lionesses. We've actually got some excellent technical players and Russo is like the female equivalent of Haaland!

My favourites are Hemp, Bright, Bronze and all the midfielders, Stanway and Kirby, but the stand out for me is the No.4 Keira Walsh. Proper baller, calm under pressure, great range of passing and controls the midfield. No wonder Spain and now Sweden have tried to mark her out of the game.

Obviously Mead is and excellent player but she has faded in the last two games.

Keira Walsh makes the game look easy and is my England unsung hero.

Funny because there's absolutely no chance a serious international game will be played at Hillsborough!

They're just bitter fuckers.

The rusting shithole they call home will only ever be remembered for one thing, and we all know what that is.

And no amount of shithousing by their fucking chromosome deficient apes will ever remove that stain......

Apart from the excellent technical standards shown the game last night was so refreshing to watch and played in the spirit of how the game should be played. If the players were fouled they got up and got on with it I think the trainer only came on once when the lass took a ball full on in the face. No feigning injuries, no arguing with the referee no looking for free kicks and penalties or trying to con the referee. In summary none of the nasty shithousing that you see in the men's game, the men's game could really learn a lot from this tournament as could the TV pundits too who actively encourage players to fall down screaming to get penalties and free kicks. How long before the women's game gets corrupted by money?
