You assume a player that's unattached would be easy to snap up. Any offer is better than none, but if the guy doesn't need the money then it's going to be just as tough as normal negotiations.
A lot depends on the level they've played at, the age of the player and the desire he has left.
None wise? No idea!
While I'm on here, how far off is Lavery?
 
Depends. A guy in demand will be as hard to sign as a contracted player, maybe harder. The fact that they're free still free agents doesn't automatically mean they're not getting offers. Just maybe not the right offers or good offers from clubs they're not interested in (geographically or otherwise).

Also, Lavary's in contention for Saturday according to the wild one.
 
More to the point, as one contributor to that article mentioned, wouldn't it be in everyone's interest to ensure that Coutts and Freeman were no longer available to be sold?

If this has already happened, well done, but if both players are still available to other clubs, get both signed NOW!

Wouldn't that just be our luck?!
 
There certainly doesn't seem to be any urgency from our side or the player's.

Probably be Holla and Stewart. Would be great to pick up a quality player whose name hasn't even been mentioned yet though.

'Doesn't seem' - that's the thing with fans though isn't it?

We tend to fill gaps in the information available with hearsay, adding 2 & 2 together badly or regurgitated rhetoric that supports our agenda (clapper/slasher bullshit etc).

Truth is we don't know. They might all be sat around doing nowt or they might just be quietly working hard and professionally to constantly improve the squad/performance.
 
Holla looks a good player and Stewart will definitely be worth the risk in this division. He scored 1 in 4 for Donny on loan last season in what was a struggling team. Pace to burn and offers real width, which we enormously lack.

don't think we need to sign them, they are both under contract for another year. Agree about taking them off the transfer list even though, as has been pointed out, the window is now shut.

Must admit, Wilder and Knill's scouting system seems to have it's finger on the pulse of who's available. I reckon Chris and Alan have a decent view of what they need and who will fit into their system. It's early days I know, and I don't want to write words that come back to haunt me, but we seem to be signing better quality in most (every?) positions, long may it continue, UTB
 
Junior Hoilett is a free agent and only 26, however I think wages would be an issue.

Would be a class player in league 1 though!

Was said to be on £45-50k per week at QPR. NO chance he'd come here. Will be able to get around £15-20k per week at championship level I reckon.
 
Know what?, apart from Poyet and Holla a large percentage of those can go fuck right off. I really like the way Chris has done his shopping and a lot of those free agents seem to be on their last paydays. Leave well alone Chris.
 
Who do people think these 2 free agents are then I reckon one of them is Cameron Stewart wilder said he wants another wide midfielder
 
He could just be training with us rather than a target, but the one stood next to Wilder certainly looks a fair bit like Chris Burke.
