Let me try this again 😆

Stoke have created more chances than us, but Cannon is not at fault for them not being converted:

All stats at for time at Stoke - Cannon shows "2 squads" just because he is listed under Leicester as well.

The end column is non-penalty goals vs non-penalty xG. Cannon is matching his xG from open play almost perfectly (5.8 npxG vs 6 goals scored from open play). Meanwhile, the other 3 have a combined 11.8 npxG, and 6 goals scored. They've required more than twice the amount of xG, to score the same number of goals.
Yep, agreed. He's a perfectly good finisher in a team of wasters.

Apparently done in principle, as in fee accepted and personal terms now being finalised however said to be relatively simple as we already knew the players ambitions in that respect.

Can’t see it going on over the weekend in terms of medical? Or could it? Who knows…

Think it will be one for after the weekend now in terms of unveiling.

I think they will rush the medical throush asap so to nail it down so to speak.

He might even be involved on Tuesday at Swansea

We need another striker and (it looks like) we've signed one.

Look forward to seeing how he goes rather than whittling over whether he's value for money or not.

I'm still not happy at the money or convinced by the player, but it's a nice feeling to see the new owners back Wilder

Should have loaned him the summer.

I reckon the Mackems have bluffed us into this brave deal.

Turns out their offer was only ever a loan with obligation to buy only if promoted and it was never a formal bid.

We will now have to pay him PL wages for X years - big risk if we don't go up.

Hoping we are only taking this risk coz the 3 loans are of a quality to ensure promotion.

We now need to attack faster and create him some chances.

If we do change to 4-4-2, with 3 new signings, go something like this.

---------------------Cooper
Gilchrist-Anel-*Omobamidele-Burrows
Brooks-------Hamer-----Souza-------*BBD
----------Campbell--------*Cannon

Bench: A Davies, Seriki, JLT, McCallum, Peck, T Davies, O'Hare, JRS, Moore

Why would we be paying him Premier League wages when we’re a Championship club? I’d imagine it’ll be written into his contract that he gets a pay rise if we’re promoted.

Campbell is too clunky in possession to play as an out and out wide man imo.

Wide inverted forward maybe.

i think we will go back to a front 2 with campbell and cannon with moore on bench for impact in last 25 mins

Watch his you tube reel
He is devastating cutting in off the right or left
We havent seen that side of him yet
Because YT reels are always the way to scout players.

We've seen Campbell play as a striker this season. And he's done brilliantly. Putting him out wide would be a waste, when he's been the only one to really offer an option in behind central defences.

If it had to be a 4-4-2 then I'd tweak the back line a little bit...

Cooper

Seriki Gilchrist Anel Burrows

Brooks Hamer Souza BBD

Campbell Cannon

The wing play down both sides sure looks mouth watering:

Seriki ------------------- Burrows

Brooks ------------------ BBD

-----Campbell ------ Cannon

mattbianco1 I'd probably rather have Campbell cutting in to shoot on his left though. JRS/Brooks to beat the right backs and deliver crosses (for Cannon and Campbell to finish).

EDIT: But ideally BBD playing left wing and cutting in!

Whiff of when Kieron Richardson had his pics taken in front of the Kop only to leave halfway through and sign for Sunderland in 2007.
