Brief summary again for anyone interested. Heavily paraphrased. Got as far as Danny Hall's questions but they seemed a bit rambly and hard to follow/summarise, and I gave up so just the first half I'm afraid.

Rob Staton

how was international break and what u prioritised during it?

- long (laughs). Too long but have to bow down to our leaders. 7 players away - Hamza,BBD,Sydie,Kitch, Tom cannon,Chongy - potentially 4 or 5 of those start v Lincoln and not been working with those players. Other managers agree too many games at start of season. Hopefully have full quartet of players that's been injured back, def 3 of the 4. Meetings reviewing individual and team performances. Working on creating more, being better around final third. Been a valuable time but probably a week to long.

What's the key to gaining a result in this game to enable you to go on a run?

- Not kidding ourselves - teams at top of division playing well. Swansea probably all A's and B's , we are B'c and C's poss some D's. My responsbilty but on the players as well. Looked at tactics/formation. 3-4-3 worked v Wolves and only two wonder goals stopped us v Stoke.

You mentioned for a lot of the last 10 yrs u carried the weight of the club on your shoulders - whats that like?

- become used to it. When you see teams spending £180 to 200 million - Sunlderland,Coventry, ipswich, hull , Leeds going straight back up etc there's been a couple of disappointing periods but tough period now, it hurts, but not been many of those bad periods. Steve's interview was good and I'm happy to deal with stuff as well. We're resetting as a club. Owners had a lot of stick, for me it's consequence of what happened last year - they were ambitious but backed the wrong horse and the wrong jockey. They put £20m in for players plus wages. Clawing that back now inc off the wage bill.

If you are honest how much attention do you pay to what people say about job u doing?

- I understand, live in the city, don't go on social media. its how football is have understood that since was 16. Do I enjoy it? no I don't. Would like it to be positive things being said , don't enjoy our club or me getting bashed about. Been a lot of good spells. This is a disappointing start but only 1/5 into season. Working to find solutions. Been a slow start but don't expect slow middle and end, more to come from this team. Brought in battle hardened players over youth. Have looked abroad before, cost us a lot of money and we're resetting off the back of that. Our model is academy(pricesless), seasoned players that I trust. We do use a data company, have looked abroad - Panos ,Sander Berge. Culture of Bristish,Scandi players suits us (mentioned Moyes again). Hoyland and Mike Allen out there 24/7. Loan mkt is as poor as it's been, and how late they come. Got Ayew but lost O'Hare at end of window. Ayew a good acquisition.

What u made of Lincoln's start?

- positive, like we were coming up. Play a certain way (no criticism)and got results. They've has 2-3 years building their team. Be a tough nut to crack and prob sellout away fans.

His comments re the owners were interesting.

Battle-hardened? Don't make me laugh. The majority of players brought in are unfit and injury prone.

I agree with this. Tommy Doyle is battle hardened and could come here and make a difference. Phillips looks good but he's made of tissue paper and probably won't last the course. Rothwell, BBD, Doherty add nothing.

Nothing much has changed in 3 weeks listening to the presser;

All four of the key players out injured are unlikely to start

We havent had the time we needed to work on the team for Lincoln due to International call ups

Broken record again about culture recruitment of British players and David Moyes 20 years ago

Scandanavian players suit our culture but apart from Berge who has in recent years?

Overseas players have cost the club a lot of money so thats why we look within the CW defined culture club.
Maybe a dig about Bords recruitment. Counter argument is Berge Anel and Souza gave good value whilst they were here. 2 out of the 3 were not brought in by the current recruitment incumbents

The owners have put in £20 million for players. Counter argument its the deficiencies of the recruitment team that are responsible for Chong, McGuinness, Matos, Cannon etc. Thats why we are having to recover the £20 million put in.

A win is essential to lift the gloom around the Club . Unfortunately the content of this press conference hardly instills confidence this will happen.

CW`s time is up imo through the eyes of the supporters , the owners however will hang on to him for this season at least . We are treading water but the holes in the bucket are getting bigger - its not going to be pretty

The owners might be silent but they knew that bringing him back would buy them time after the Selles debacle, and he would act as a buffer between the supporters and them.

'We gave you what you wanted' is a good safety line to have in their back pocket.

Every press conference is basically the same, a history lesson on what Wilder did well 6+ years ago and what the owners have done wrong in the past 2 years.

Why is he bringing up Retsos who joined on loan 6+ years ago and played a handful of games?

Why are Everton and David Moyes the only Prem team we can model ourselves on? The most uninspiring, drab Prem team of the last 20 years who’ve achieved nothing. What about the other 19 Prem teams who have broadened their horizons to recruit athletes and technical talent from abroad which has been key to any success?

It’s tiresome and we’ll never modernise whilst Wilder is here. The focus should be on the now and the future and I want to understand what the plan is to advance the football club.

It's depressing how his interviews of old really got me upbeat and positive, whilst now I just shake my head most of the time

Couldn't have said it better myself. The sooner we all move on the better!!

I’ve said a few times my preference is for Chris to turn things around.

I do wish he’d stop handing out ammunition so easily.

Prefers Scandinavian players; Shown absolutely no interest in developing Zatterstrom at all.

3-4-3. Once more two in midfield. We didn’t create much in either really and watching Arblaster labour on whatever role it was wasn’t great. Our only goal in those games was a wonder strike from a guy who hasn’t scored for 4 years.

Overseas players have cost us. What? Like the 56m we spent on Brewster, McBurnie, Mousset and Freeman who all left for nothing. I hesitated on Mousset but as a foreigner who was based here, he’s in Wilder’s wheelhouse.

If those 7 listed are mainly starters then we’re in bother. Hamza, BBD, Sydie, Kitch, Tom cannon, Chongy - Sydie - yes, Kitch - yes. The rest? Get the fk out of here. Don’t go telling us that after 3 weeks we still need to watch Hamza get roasted at right back, or that Chong is a starter or that Cannon and BBD are so intricate they can’t be replaced. I’d not bat an eyelid about playing Donovan, Bamford and Oné up top and not picking any of the above.

We built this three weeks up. Can’t turn around at the end of it and downplay it.

Come on Chris. No excuses. Let’s be bullish and up and at ‘em.

Very, very well put.

If we get a points deduction and possible relegation fightthe owners will back a new horse, under pressure, wilder cant hack it we haveseen it before
