It amazing how we were in League One for six years and I can’t recall a single Paintpot Checktrade cup game.

I can remember one, that I watched. Must have been a dodgy stream or something. I think it was Notts County and the only reason I remember it was because Harry Maguire scored a cracking goal.

We won in similar circumstances in 1976 and I can't over emphasise just how much I would like a repeat on Saturday.

Unfortunately I can't be there this time even though it's only a 45 minute walk down the road

It’s the only game I’m bothered about now. Even though it’s essentially meaningless, I still want us to win. It feels a bit like a chore watching them at the moment. I did enjoy the second half against Chelsea but there was actually something to play for. It would be nice to see a bit more of that, it reminded me we can play a bit at times.

That JPT cup were we seemed to get hartlepool every season,which I didn't mind as I lived a 10 min walk away.

After the Leeds game at Bramall Lane we'd arranged to go to my mates' house for a drink in the afternoon, he's a Leeds fan. We're doing the same again on Saturday so I really hope we don't lose because he was a right smug fucker last time.

Hope we then score a goal from a free kick that was wrongly given.

Then hope we get a second with one of our players smugly celebrating next to the advertising holdings.

I remember going to Leeds over the Easter weekend in 1990. Not a game I remember fondly although obviously what happened in the rest of that season, particularly another team beginning with the same letter, was!

George Long played a blinder to win us a penalty shoot out at Hartlepool early Adkins 'era'.

I was one of the 300 Spartans on the away end, probably the lowest Blades away following I've been in ( pre season excepted).

About the same went to Newport in 80's when we were thrashed 4-0

And the Leeds game... think we might surprise. Derby fixture, Hecky returning to his old club, and we're a team with nothing to lose who will give it their all at the minimum. What's everyone's feelings about this fixture?

Well clearly we'll not score and their energy and running will kill us, I honestly can't see past a 3 or 4 nil defeat.
