And the Leeds game... think we might surprise. Derby fixture, Hecky returning to his old club, and we're a team with nothing to lose who will give it their all at the minimum. What's everyone's feelings about this fixture?

I hope we fucking ruin Leeds.

I’m going out Saturday afternoon, can’t watch them wankers do the double over us.

We've been a team with nothing to lose since before Xmas and thats not helped us. Hoping more the mentality has changed during the break like was saw in glimpses in the last match.

Missus supports Leeds so this will be interesting.

Just the sort of team who could give us a good tonking. We’ve miraculously kept it fairly tight, against the big teams. But it’s the teams who (before the season started) we genuinely thought, we could’ve got something from, who have at times given us a footballing lesson.

Fucking hell have we got to play again can’t we just pack it in ☹️
This weekend I will mostly be supporting Watford & Cardiff.

I don't really care. If we beat them, happy days. If we lose, what's new..?

My feelings about the game?

Roughly on a par with when we were about to play Grimsby Town away in the Checkatrade Trophy group stage in 2016.

It amazing how we were in League One for six years and I can’t recall a single Paintpot Checktrade cup game.

Certainly more positive after the Chelsea game. Hope the lads get stuck in and give them a game.

George Long played a blinder to win us a penalty shoot out at Hartlepool early Adkins 'era'.

I was one of the 300 Spartans on the away end, probably the lowest Blades away following I've been in ( pre season excepted).

Me neither, but I boycotted it anyway because they were putting Premier League U21's teams in it.
Amazing now to think that it was the sort of thing people were arguing about back then!

The infamous David Weir interview was after a lacklustre (to say the least) 1-0 defeat against Hartlepool in the JPT. Strange old evening that was.

But anyhow, my main hope for Saturday is to not get too nostalgically sad by comparing to our last visit to Elland Road.

We won in similar circumstances in 1976 and I can't over emphasise just how much I would like a repeat on Saturday.

Unfortunately I can't be there this time even though it's only a 45 minute walk down the road :(
