There are wannabe ITKs trying to create a toxic atmosphere at the club!

Anyone expecting this or any other club to become permeant top six with out being backed by more money than we could ever dream of is living in cloud cuckoo land.
As it stands , we've achieved our limit by just getting here, what happens next is in the hands of the Gods...👍

Well hi there

I’ve not heard anyone say they’re expecting top 6? I certainly don’t live in cuckoo land either. But what I do expect is a team promoted to start the season stronger than the previous, not significantly weaker. I really hope I’m wrong but this is going to be a car crash and not one bit enjoyable. It seems if you’re not prepared to sit a take whatever shit we’re dealt like a lemming then you’re not a proper Blade!

Wait and see. Stop predicting fucking disasters.

Speaking of toxic atmospheres...

Last week we had a situtation where the manager of the club was asked what he thought of the likes of Smith sharing insights into our transfer dealings on Twitter etc.

Hecky made clear he didn't like it, that it wasn't helpful and it made it more difficult to sign our top targets.

At that point, DS could have read the room and stopped making those posts, or the PA could have either stopped feeding him stuff or asked him to refrain from putting it out on Twitter.

A week on and he's continuing to post this stuff out.

This is clearly undermining Hecky, be it deliberately or not.

So, is this part of what you’ve been spinning as the grand conspiracy to force Hecky out?

We’ve bent over though.

I accepted we probably couldn’t do much for Ndaiye or Berge if they really want to go. I see a business sense to selling

But why have we been so abject at getting thier replacements in. If we’d had 5/6 players we need in and ready you could accept the outgoings. Now it just looks like we aren’t even trying.

We’re sleepwalking into the season. There’s no urgency.

Poor hecky! Feel so much for him trying to steer this rudderless ship. Let’s remember that and back him through the inevitable disaster
These are the points that make the whole thing so hard to understand.

Let's see . If we get in O'brien Akpom and Holgate and Palmer on loan I'd say it's not too bad

A lot of these apportioning blame on Prince sre the same people who didn't rate Berge anyway

Wait till September and stop being pathetic!
As much as the ITK’s are spreading doom, the club aren’t doing much to make people feel otherwise.

We had a great and deserved promotion last season against a backdrop of financial uncertainty, in fairness to the board, they held their nerve and kept players to see us over the line.

Any kind of goodwill or momentum has been halted by (and this is a rant that those of a sunny disposition won’t like so might not want to read):

  • Sold our potentially world class best player (I know he wanted to leave but the failings came 2 years ago in my opinion)
  • Have a manager who sounds exasperated
  • May sell another of our top players (albeit he’s inconsistent and I flip flop on him being amazing and shit week by week)
  • Re signed 2 players who really should have been let go (it’s obvious why now as we needed bodies), one of them is now injured for a change
  • Managed to repeat last season’s kit debacle, although as a positive people will have 1 full day to buy a home kit before the season starts (no sign of away or 3rd on sale though).
  • Conducted comms and PR through channels that have pissed off a % of fans
  • Less than a week out from the season starting have made no ‘marquee’ signings (not always a bad thing but you’d think we’d have done more than sign a few lads from a farmers league and a dodgy LWB on loan)
  • Seem to be intent on signing a player from a relegation rival who can’t get near their first team and probably having to pay £10m for the privilege, smacks of the Brewster deal where we fixated on a target and had our pants pulled down
  • Seemingly had to beg Burnley not to beat us to another signing by giving them Berge as a makeweight
  • Still not done the cladding 😜🐍
  • Still pillars on the kop
  • Still not able to sell out games due to retarded ticketing policies

I will try tomorrow to come up with a list of positives to try and balance these out, I don’t think I’ll get there.

To be told by some fans that it’s acceptable to wait until 5 games in to have an actual squad capable of not getting annihilated isn’t something I’m willing to listen to at the moment.

I thought you keep your best players and bring better players that is the normal way. not that prince he sells and makes it harder.

Understand the " wait until September " badge, but what is it the wearers are seeing, based on the clubs performance since April when promotion was attained until now which gives you confidence that everything will be ok in three and a bit weeks?

This 👊👊👊👊

I’m just clinging to the hope that patience will pay off and we’ll get our main targets in before the deadline. If we don’t then that’s the time I’ll lose my shit.

I just don’t see this mad panic to get players in before the Palace match. Yes, it would be nice, but we’re signing players for 3/4 years. If we need to wait until the deadline to get those players, so be it. It’s stupid to panic and sign players who aren’t good enough just so we’ve got more options for a few early season matches.

OK so for some it's all about spending some money..?
We did that last time we were here and what sort of big money (for us) players in my opinion did we get ?
! / Only looked any thing like useful when we dropped back into the Championship..( Jury still out for me.
2/ Our biggest money signing, has spent so much time out injured I'll be amazed if he remembers were the ground is.
3/ A nice guy with all the skills, but about as much commitment to winning the game as a wet lettuce..
In fact the best player we've had for years cost us next to nothing....

I'm really not bothered how or when players come in, I don't even care if we never finish top six, as long as they build a team I can be proud of with committed players who play for the shirt and get me off my seat,......

Tin hat on....

I think I can just about accept the sale to inject funds into the squad. It’s the timing that’s horrific. We have a real opportunity to get some early runs on the board, I just hope we can fluke something because if Berge goes, I’m not sure our Midfield is anything more than lower end Championship.

What a load of spoiled brats some on here are, anyone would think we had never been in the Championship before, it's not that long since you lot were moaning because we couldn't get there......
I don't foresee there being any problems getting there this season.
Football is a basket case
and somehow Sheffield United are the worst culprits, the only challenger I can think of across the 4 divisions are our neighbours, at least we can have a wry smile about that.

We’ve already missed our main targets!
We’re scouring round the lower divisions of Europe for players with no Prem or even Championship experience. If these were our main targets, God help us!

I really dont see why people are having such a meltdown over this, it baffles me. If anyone follows what's actually been happening at the club (since relegation) the position we are in was always going to happen. We were in financial turmoil, we werent paying bills, staff were close to not being paid last season.

For two seasons the club have gambled on getting promoted. We missed out first season a) to the points wasted at the start and b) the failure to score more at Forest (Ndiaye missing three sitters - anyone remember that??). Second season we did the job and got up and the board / PA held their nerve and didnt sell Berge & Ndiaye when really they should have to help pay bills etc, but we kept them and got promoted.

Berge and Ndiaye wouldnt sign contracts. They are our most sellable assets so it made sense to sanction deals. Egan / Baldock / Osborn dont get anywhere near the transfer fees so less pressure there, new contracts can be sorted. Timing of Berge isnt great, but there's still 3 weeks to go. Plus he is inconsistent, so you never know what the hell youre going to get. Ndiaye was untested at this level and could have struggled, in my opinion.

Doyle and McAtee were always heading back to City and realistically only Doyle is a target, United wont have the ball as much as last season so McAtee would be wasted playing for us.

Give the recruitment team time to make the additions that they can get. yes ideally they are all in for pre season but that just doesnt happen anymore in football. Its all done last minute.

Chances are we will go down. I think that was very likely anyway as we never had the money to buy a whole new team which if we be honest we knew would be needed as bar the potential of Ndiaye and Anel to be good at PL level, we know the rest arent good enough. Forest had the right idea last year, they bought a new team, then again in Jan, and that was only just enough to stay up. We dont have an owner with those deep pockets.

The comms from the club are poor, but they have been for donkeys years. Its not the end of the world that we dont get told from PA or PH that we are after this or that, that's just a symptom of modern society requiring everything immediately.

we'll be there saturday, the team will put the effort in and what will be will be.
