All advertisments are hidden for logged in members, why not log in/register?

Tbh I am hardly thrilled or delighted by the actual stuff that's happened and that's without paying attention to rumours

Always seems strange that United have a unique problem with agents that doesn't exist anywhere else.
 
Understand the " wait until September " badge, but what is it the wearers are seeing, based on the clubs performance since April when promotion was attained until now which gives you confidence that everything will be ok in three and a bit weeks?

It’s the timing of leaving the sales and contract renewals until very late in the day which is all wrong.
No excuse for it, cept rank bad management on our part.Yes, agents are a bugbear, but we’ve let them own us, all close season.

Speaking of toxic atmospheres...

Last week we had a situtation where the manager of the club was asked what he thought of the likes of Smith sharing insights into our transfer dealings on Twitter etc.

Hecky made clear he didn't like it, that it wasn't helpful and it made it more difficult to sign our top targets.

At that point, DS could have read the room and stopped making those posts, or the PA could have either stopped feeding him stuff or asked him to refrain from putting it out on Twitter.

A week on and he's continuing to post this stuff out.

This is clearly undermining Hecky, be it deliberately or not.

Not saying everything will be ok in next few weeks, I accepted relegation some time ago. Lets see in September if we have a bigger squad for the 2024/25 season aiming for promotion.

We are seeing 4 in and promises of more. If those promises are unfounded then we have a big problem

If you’re right about players reading this forum, they must be overjoyed with the post above.
Normally, Sir,I am 100% with you, but the idea that we can whistle up, 4/5 players between now and `September, that will make us stronger, I just can’t see It.
By Hecky’s admission we’ve missed the boat for some of our targets already, and now with the competition ramping up for those left, is not a good time to recruit.
I also worry about the reputational damage to the club and players,of having a disastrous season in the Prem, and the knock on effect in respect of decisions to be made by some of our mainstays who are in their last year, eg Baldock.
I feel for Hecky and the players remaining,who worked so hard to get us up, and I’m sure they don’t have to read this forum, to feel let down by the club.For what it’s worth, I’ll be there satdi cheering em on as usual, and hoping for a miracle.

We were in Division 4 when I started watching.

By your reckoning we were spoiled brats moaning about finishing mid table under Adkins.

I agree with the OP.. people love a drama , it's a case of BBC 'itus ( the broadcaster ) . Everything has to be a crisis.. Just perhaps we don't know all the details , permutations, decisions, strategy. Perhaps Hecky is fully on board and in agreement or perhaps we're backed into a corner by players who just want to ensure thier own security . Lots of dynamics we can't even begin to understand. Maybe this clears the way to make significant signings which from both a football and financial perspective make good sence.Fact is we dont know , we try and join the dots and make it spell disaster

Football is a basket case.. silly saudi money, Reading being £200m in debt . A club with over 100 breaches of rules being given years to sort.. the list is endless.. when everything gets silly we might just be doing the best we can , making good long term decisions, protecting our assets and giving us the best chance whilst ensuring the future of the club. The sky's probably not falling in though.

Darren Smith is a full weight twat who clearly loves the attention he gets on social media.
