Keep seeing people who are seething on Twitter, in regard to United's inaction today.

For the avoidance of doubt: Clubs in the football league can do Loan deals. They can also do Loan-to-Buy deals. This effectively means the window has not shut.

I think we are safe to assume that Chris Wilder is aware of this and that incoming players are likely. Can we postpone the meltdown until the window shuts on the 31st?

Thanks.

31st? I take it that's when Coutts is back?

No I fully agree and I personally think Wilder was resigned to that idea as soon as we lost out on Waghorn.

FUCK OFF WITH YOUR MEASURED THOUGHTS AND COMMON SENSE.

CUNT.

Resigned to the fact that deals would be done later. The Prem teams will no be shedding their squads. Now we do our deals.

Today's window is shut and the bids for 4 players was obviously BS. Fuck loans, we need players right now.
Not loans. The only market we are probably 'out' of is Championship. Prem, League 1, League 2, we can effectively buy their players. It's quite simple.

Classic united. Apparently there were millions to spend and it has all just vanished. Absolutely piss poor

There still are millions to spend.

West Ham sign Perez
Young Striker at West Ham is now available as they don't need the cover.
We loan said player until Jan with a view to buy.
Simple.

The new window was, in part, designed so league clubs wouldn't be screwed over by the prem.

I feel for the 3 chaps sat waiting for a call in sheff station!

Agreed, clubs will (or should) treat this like a 3-week extension.

1) Agree fee for player to join permanently in January
2) Player moves to club now on loan for the next 3 months

The sooner the better, but I'll reserve judgement until Sept 1st.

Cant blame wilder if the club cant provide funds for transfers what can he do.bit like us off we go shopping you want chicken wife says you will hsve to do with beans on toast.you like it or lump it. Just saying

Does this effectively mean we could get someone good in now, have the parent club pay a chunk of their wages until January and then sign them permanently once the next chunk of Brooks money arrives in the bank?...

Deal sheets.

Will there be any that come out in next few hours. Ins or Outs. ?

Or is it loans, as was utterly predictable ??

UTB

As I understand it, that's exactly what it means. We're likely to have 'lost out' on any Championship deals, becuase why would they loan to a rival. But Prem, or lower leagues, are still an option.

You know what your right ! By the time we play Villa on 1 September the squad will be bang on, just got to get through August first.

The problems identified in January will be sorted by September. It’s like been at work

It's not though, is it? There's no wool being pulled down over people's eyes. As soon as Wagworn went public, it was off. We're after young prem players now who are only available after today's deadline.

It's looking more and more likely that Princey Boy will be getting the Club on the cheap. No way are we going to get promotion this year. :-/

if you say so mate then that’s great. I’d still be surprised if we sign any on a loan to permanent basis because of wages.

I'm saying it to be contrary. I'm just sure that Wilder will have always known this was likely. And I'm sure he still has his targets. Listen, if we don't sign any one and all of this 'we still have the Brooks cash' is BS, then I should've been more pessimistic. I do trust Wilder though, he's obviously got funds, just not as much as Derby, Boro etc..

Don't worry, after we fuck the loan window up we'll be told we can still sign unregistered players.

This club is a depressingly predictable joke.

Please don’t pretend we’re going to solve all our problems in the next 2 weeks.

You can have a max of 4 in a matchday squad. That means we can make 2 signings at most because 2 we already have are 100% first teamers.

But I want to moan.

I don’t share your enthusiasm mate, but let’s wait and see

Didn't realise that, they would have to be two mega signings to make up for this window. Not a chance.

Just as a matter of interest, if we are incapable of signing the players we want permanently over a 10 week period do you really expect us to be able to sign them on loan to buy deals in a 3 week period?

No reason at all to believe we will do better. Prices on these loan to buy deals will go up even higher because the selling clubs will know the buying clubs are desperate.

Well run clubs get their deals done early. This 3 week period is for the desperate.
