Presuming our only other acquisition is 🤢 Holgate 🤢 - How do we feel the window has gone out of 10?

Only Seriki and Osula tied down as far as I'm aware.

BBD, great signing but only on loan.
Jury very much out on the keeper, but doesn't look great so far.
Holgate is a horrible signing.

We haven't resolved anything in terms of on-field leaders, or voices.
We haven't brought in a 'proper' centre half, just a powder puff one who prefers to play at right back.

Everything about this club at the minute is done on the cheap, and we only ever plan for the next window.
With all these contracts running out and no one here to replace them, and of course our complete lack of forward planning and available money I've absolutely no idea how people expect us to be around the top of the league next year. We're more likely to end up in another embargo for not paying our bills.

McAtee who is our best player will be gone, potentially both of our right backs will be gone, Archer will be gone, BBD will be gone, RND could well be gone, Egan, Norwood, McBurnie, despite your views are all players who have been great for us who may well be on their way. Who's replacing them? At this basket case of a club with no forward planning who would want to?

We are going in one direction and it ain't up.
I think it's the transfer window of a club that knows its already relegated, which is fair enough... that said the only permanent signing looks lvery suspect so far

5/10

Genuinely Don’t think there was any point in making any signings really. Like the last time out In The PL we were down before Halloween.

BBD might at least help us score some goals and add some excitement - so perhaps worth the wages. He’s already probably played his way out of being back here next season

Keeper - has not covered himself In glory so far but who knows. Could decent and has some pedigree - Wes was throwing them in and didn’t want to be here, so you can see the logic.

Curtis - seems really highly rated and could be handy with the right back out of contract.

holgate is the only one I’m see no reason we’ve gone for - doesn’t appear to add the commanding presence that might have stopped us conceding 3/4/5 goals a game. Would have looked elsewhere.

Overall we’ve balanced trying to do something but not hamstrung ourselves when we have only a championship budget to play with .

Football porn gone wrong this window nonsense. Jim White yellow tie bullshit . When has it ever made any difference . Can’t wait for it to be over

1/10 This transfer window has been the ultimate kick in the bollocks for the fans. PA has sure made a statement that he isn't prepared to put any more money into the long term future of the club he is just letting us tick over until he finds a buyer not that there will be much to buy when the time comes other than a club with around half a dozen contracted players.

Shame BBD isn't a permanent signing, exactly the attacking player we’ve been desperately missing.

On the other hand pleased Holgate is just a loan, never rated him tbh, would love him to prove me wrong.

Grbic, it’s very early to judge, but first impressions aren’t great. Looks to lack the footwork and spring to be a top class goalkeeper to me? What’s worrying, is the few top corner goals he’s conceded so far, whilst I wouldn't necessarily expect him to save them, but his dive has been about a foot off the floor each time? Anyway, time will tell, I suppose.

Curtis, if the media are to be believed, maybe we’ve pulled off a bit of a coup and he may prove to be the best of the bunch.

So all in all 4/10

Dias makes it a solid 3 but it's nowhere near enough

If BBD or Holgate had been loan to permanent deals, I would have actually said it's been a decent window. Unfortunately, the only one I can be really invested in is Gribic because he's the only one who will be here next season (presuming Curtis stays in the 23s).

January is a shite window to try and build anything so I won't be too critical but next season is still a total mystery of how we're going to look. We've done nothing in terms of building for The Championship outside of the keeper. The best thing about the window by far is that so many young lads have gone out on loan so we can have a proper look at them.

5/10 for me. We're slightly stronger for the short-term but given we're already relegated, I can't get excited by either of the loan signings.

We have the same owner and manager that we had last time we were relegated.

Say what you like about incoming and existing players. I context we are currently able to offer Prem league football and little else.

The Prince hung on to N’Diaye and Berge when he could have got more from selling them early. He will get less for the club when they are back in the championship with fewer assets to sell.

Do what all supporters have always done. Complain but carry on supporting the club we all love.

2/10.

Diaz looks a good signing.

The Irish full back might be a good signing but he won't help us now.

I'm a bit meh about the others.

For a club 9 points adrift, off the back of a terrible summer window, hardly tried to put a lot of the problems right have we? We needed at least one box to box midfielder (ideally two).

All smacks of running up the white flag to me. The club have given up on the season.

They're will be a massive change in personnel at the end of this season, and lots more disappointment, as the club continue to plead poverty whichever division they're in.

I'm really disillusioned with the club at the moment, and this window has done nothing to lift that.

Heard we are after someone from Spurs in this window, Udogie, looks a great player anall.

Wilder’s been one blower and put it to them straight, How much is Udogie in the window.
I, maybe like you, can remember HMITDITW being the top 20, if there was one then.
Also much played at 'Tigers' meetings.

The Prince hung on to N’Diaye and Berge when he could have got more from selling them early.
Berge has been for sale since the summer after we signed him, no one’s pony’d up the cash or he’d have been long gone.

If we’d had a decent offer last Jan for Ndiaye he’d have gone as well and we’d have finished play offs at best.

I stopped reading as soon as I saw mcburnie been great for us 😂😂

Curtis too 👍
True forgot about him as he's unlikely to feature at all this season. Probably the best signing as at least he's one for the future, can see him and a number of the under 21s making up the majority of the squad in the championship

Spoke with an Everton fan at gym this morning, mentioned Holgate and he laughed ha ha ho ho ho. Such fun.

Might be laughing other side of his face at we soar up table

I stopped reading as soon as I saw mcburnie been great for us 😂😂

Hes not been utterly terrible but hes never been fully fit and we could have easily bought a player of McBurnie's quality for £2m or less

I would let him go when his deal runs out and spend the wages on someone better

At the end of the day he's given us some great memories, first player I've seen whose kicked a ball into his own face and take his own player clean out when he's through on goal 🤣

It’s a 3 from me. Diaz looks quality but the keeper is shit. As for Holgate….. you’ve got to worry when a direct rival is eager to loan you a player.

To be honest whatever signings are made won’t make a jot of difference to the inevitably of this season. Might as well give CWAK an extra few months to look around and hopefully our skint disinterested owner to crack on with finding a buyer

Our league position says it all and the vast majority of Blades want the Prince gone
..without having a replacement ?
Like many on here I have supported United for decades and the period of ownership by the Prince has produced some of the most enjoyable times I have seen.
Of course we would all like a to have a rich owner who loves the Blades and takes us forward, but that is unlikely.
Wishing him gone without any clear way forward is the recipe for disaster.

Honestly , what were we expecting?

The Prince will not spend any money … we are relegation certs …we are unattractive as fk unless it’s a player having a shit time at their current club …

I have been going through the turnstile for 53 years out of the 62 on this planet , my kids also have STs , and I have always , always loved this club .

But ……as others have said , despite the ups and mainly downs for so many of these years , I have never been as disappointed and detached as I am now .

I love them and will always , but I don’t bloody like them one bit at the moment .

Maybe it’s my age ? Didn’t bother me so much in the past as you didn’t have high expectations of them - but as the years tick by I really thought that getting promoted twice and being in the prem 3 out of 5 years plus the para payments that we had a chance to make something great .

I couldn’t have been more wrong . It’s fking turgid being a supporter of this club . The mismanagement as our leader took his eye off the ball and wallowed in his own piss for two years without putting in place an infrastructure to help us grow has caused a lot of our problems - recruitment team a bloody joke , however they have a book of green shield stamps and a conker to entice players with so no help there , our training facilities largely ignored until the place was starting to fall down and leaking roofs meant we had to fund more buckets , suppliers not paid , transfer embargo, relying on money from a rouge to stave off potential insolvency , somehow starting the season with a squad who are actually worse than the one we got promoted with , not investing anything like to give us any chance whatsoever…..I could go on but fk em .

What a pile of crap .

Anyway

See you all on Saturday

He got 15 goals last season and is our record premier league goal scorer…
Hes got 11 premier league goals in nearly 3 seasons, Dean got 14 in 1993 I'm pretty sure that 14 is more than 11 so how can he be our record premier league goal scorer? He scored 13 league goals last season, he's not even hit 30 goals in over 130 appearances or however many he's made. He's fucking shite , others may think otherwise and I respect that.
